Dow Closes at New Record High; Nobility Drops Five Percent

Even as several retailers, including Target and Dollar Stores, reported less than expected earnings, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day above 16,000 for the first time ever. CNNMoney reports the Dow gained +109.17 points, +0.69 percent, to end the day at 16,009.99. The Nasdaq moved up +1.22 percent, +47.89 points, to close at 3,969.96, while the S&P gained 14.48 points, +0.81 percent, to finish at 1,795.85. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite dropped -0.46 percent to close at 686.9. All of the housing stocks we track in today’s trading closed up or even, except Nobility Homes, which fell -5.00 percent, -0.50, to close at 9.50. Cavco Industries gained the most of stocks we follow, +2.24 percent, +1.31 points, to end the day at 59.88.Affiliated Managers Group 200.42 +1.48 (+0.74%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 174,621 +2,141.00 (+1.24%). Deer Valley remained unchanged at 0.66. Drew Industries 51.46 +0.75 (+1.48%). Equity LifeStyle Properties 35.91 +0.02 (+0.06%). Liberty Homes remained unchanged at 0.51.
