If Democratic strategist and Clinton adviser, James Carville was right when he said, “It’s the economy, stupid.” He said that to describe what matters the most to voters.

If so, then this should be good news for the Trump Administration.  As MHProNews has previously reported, Larry Kudlow, the economic advisor to the president, has sung the praise of our economy compared to any other on earth.  This confirms that claim.

If you want to sell more manufactured homes, clearly, a good economy is better than a lackluster or sagging one.

The 2018 edition of the Global Competitiveness Report represents a milestone in the four-decade history of the series, with the introduction of the new Global Competitiveness Index 4.0,” said the World Economic Forum (WEF).

The report covers 140 economies. The Global Competitiveness Index 4.0 measures national competitiveness—defined as the set of institutions, policies, and factors that determine the level of productivity.

For the first time in a decade, the United States was named the world’s most competitive economy on Wednesday, per the WEF.

The Global Competitiveness Index named Singapore and Germany as #2 and #3.

The new index sheds light on an emerging set of drivers of productivity and long-term growth in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It provides a much-needed compass for policy-makers and other stakeholders to help shape economic strategies and monitor progress,” said the WEF.

The 10 least competitive economies

5.    Burundi

6.    Congo

The high U.S. ranking may be part of the attraction for foreign capital coming to the U.S. some of which has been deployed in the factory-built housing arena.
