Industry Unity is Critical for Success - Join MHI Today and Help Make A Difference!

The industry and MHI, its national association, need your support! Now more than ever is a critical time to join the national trade association representing the manufactured and modular housing industries and help to expand the position of the industry as the foremost provider of quality housing for millions of Americans. As the factory-built housing industry prospers, so will your business! Information on becoming a member of MHI, its legislative and regulatory activities, and a wealth of useful resources can be found at www.manufacturedhousing.org.

In the past two years, there have been an unprecedented amount of new regulations that have had a widespread impact on every industry, and manufactured and modular housing are no exception.

MHI has successfully prevented many burdens from being placed on the industry and its customers and has made substantial headway in dealing with financial reform, energy issues, and HUD regulatory issues. These are all important issues that all sectors of our industry must pay attention to and play an important role. Nothing can match the power of a unified industry speaking with one voice in Washington, DC!

MHI is recognized as a leader by Congress and housing related groups that shape the nation’s future policies and practices.  As such, this year MHI was one of 150 top Washington, DC trade associations to receive a request from Congress to report on existing or proposed regulation that would adversely affect the business sector and impact job creation. In its report, MHI focused on critical issues such as: 1) Dodd-Frank and SAFE Act regulation, 2) reestablishing manufactured housing as a priority at HUD including the importance of a non-career administrator, 3) lack of GSE implementation on the “duty to serve” manufactured housing, and 4) barriers that dual oversight on energy standards from two separate federal agencies (HUD and Dept. of Energy) will have on housing affordability.

MHI needs your support as it continues to aggressively advance the interests of the industry and its customers. MHI believes in the industry and in the strength of its members, and knows that the interests, welfare and protection of our homebuyers is our ultimate priority.

MHI will continue to promote manufactured housing's role as a source of innovative and affordable housing, will work hard to improve the flow of capital to manufactured home lending and will always promote innovation and preserving affordability through enhanced quality and efficiency of the HUD-Code regulatory system.

Who Does MHI Represent and How to Join?

MHI is the only national trade association representing all sectors of the manufactured and modular housing industries and over 80 percent of the homes produced each year. Manufacturers, suppliers, lenders, insurers, community owners, retailers and state associations can join through the following divisions and councils: Federated States Division, Financial Services Division, Manufactured Housing Division, National Communities Council, National Modular Housing Council, National Retailers Council and Suppliers Division.

For more information on becoming a member, please visit http://www.manufacturedhousing.org/membership/become_member.asp or contact Cheryl Langley at (703) 558-0668 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Tunica manufactured home show 2015 update

Introducing… A Phoenix Rises Is widely considered the “premiere” show of the year… Is a unique show that totally sets it apart from all others… Is so distinctive that retailers will never see the same product at other shows… Is such an inclusive show for the south east region that it has appeal for virtually everyone who attends… Encompasses all levels of affordability, from HUD homes to spectacular system-built housing… One would have to be awfully shortsighted to fail to see that our show could present an enormous marketing opportunity. And one would have to look far and wide to find another event with the pizzazz, panache, and prestige of such a show. That’s because it doesn’t exist. But this one does. You already know it. It’s called The Tunica Manufactured Housing Show. This show possesses every one...
