The Tunica Show has been in existence for 16 years. Our annual show brings out an array of new manufactured home designs, the latest in technology, the best in suppliers’ offerings and a look at all the newest amenities and system-build options the industry can offer. The Tunica Manufactured Housing Show has distinguished itself as the largest manufactured housing show in the world! We want to thank all of our exhibitors who make the show a success each year.

“We were pleased with the results of last year’s show for all of our exhibitors, retailers, builder/developers, community owners/operators, and installers,” said Keith Bennett, SCMHI Chairman for the 2014 Tunica Manufactured Housing Show. “The show provides numerous “opportunities to network”, as well as an opportunity for serious buyers to move forward with new and existing business relationships.”

The show, which drew 1,234 retailers, builder/developers, community owners/operators, and installers this past year, remains the leading industry event … covering an expansive region which stretches from Illinois all the way to East Texas. The 2014 show is scheduled for March 26 – 28, 2014. We will once again use QMS of Alpharetta, GA to facilitate our online registration. Their web link service provides fast and efficient registration both before and during the show. QMS is a service organization dedicated to the goal of providing our shows with an overall registration package that meets or exceeds all of their needs and expectations.

Our New Homes Will Excite You

In 2014, over 80 new model homes are expected to be featured at the show. The models will offer a firsthand look at the latest technology, conveniences, efficiency, and state-of-the-art design modifications that have been developed during the past year. The don’t-miss showcase of homes is an essential element in getting a firsthand view for retailers, builder/developers, community owners/operators, and installers as they head into the spring selling season. Innovation is more important than ever and the showcase of homes makes certain that everyone sees, understands and can fully utilize the new technology found in our homes.

“The Tunica Show is an ideal opportunity to attend the latest in educational seminars… to enhance your business… and away to have fun while you are there” noted Gene Rogers, SCMHI Show Chairman for 2014.

Service and supplier exhibitors will number in the 100’s for the 2014 show. Supplier exhibitors are critical to our industry, providing vital services and products to the manufactured housing industry. Each year, this group of exhibitors showcases the newest technology, products and services that can be utilized by our industry.

“We depend upon each other within this industry and our service and supplier exhibitors ensure that everything that goes into building our manufactured housing products are superior,” Rogers said. “Their expertise across many areas translates into the best-built products.”

The Tunica Show Board of Directors Welcomes You To The 2014 Show

SCMHI Board of Directors: Keith Bennett, SCMHI Chairman, Kabco Builders; Gene Rogers, Show Chairman, Lexington Homes; Doris Hydrick, AMHA; Jennifer Hall, MMHA; David Brewer, Southern Homes; Ryan Campbell, Southern Colonel Homes, Inc.; Brent Harris, Southern Housing Enterprise, Inc.; Brent Cappaert, Brentwood Casa Community; Richie Swinney, Southern Housing, Inc.; Sam Huffman, Triad Financial Services; Paula Reeves, CIS Financial Services; Jeff Hood, River Birch Homes.

Our Scheduling

Continuing the excitement that accompanies another year at the world’s largest manufactured housing show, there are two free lunches that will be provided for attendees. The lunches offer a convenient and delicious way to luncheon at the show site and maximize your time. They will be held in the official SCMHI Hospitality Tent in the Manufacturer’s Exhibit Area. The annual Bloody Mary Mixer will be held Thursday morning, March 27th as a casual start to that day’s show schedule in the service & supplier exhibit area.

One of the ways we want to show our appreciation is through the exciting Sponsorship Program.

Sponsorships are an excellent brand builder for show exhibitors and offer an attractive array of special items at each level. As in previous years, the sponsorships include Gold, Silver and Bronze options and provide the levels of brand exposure that may fit best with an exhibitor’s marketing plan and budget. The shows past sponsors have been a key part of the success of each event. Sponsorship allows all of our sponsors to get the recognition and attendee awareness that are well deserved.

The show plans to provide NEW EXCITING SEMINARS. Stay tuned for more information about what seminars will be offered and how you can sign up. Tony Kovach, with www.MHMarketingSalesManagemt.com (MHProNews.com) will once again lead our seminar programming for the 2014 show. Seminars will be held on Wednesday March 26 and Thursday March 27. All seminars will be over by 12:00 noon on both days. We want to maximize your time at the show.

An Exciting Town

When show hours conclude, you have a city that offers a wide variety of entertainment and fine food. Tunica is the third largest gambling destination in the country, and boasts 9 world-class casinos. Excellent golf courses and dining options are numerous and meant to be enjoyed as part of your show day.

CU Factory Built Lending and the new HPML Appraisal Rule for Manufactured Housing

Directed by the upcoming changes in the HPML Appraisal Rule effective July 18th, 2015 and driven to minimize its impact on both our business partners and consumers, CU Factory Built Lending (CUFBL) has developed our approach to compliantly reconciling manufactured home loans under the new HPML Appraisal Rule.  Our plan’s key components are: Non-Qualified Mortgages (non-QM’s) Flexible Valuation Options Business Partner and consumer friendly Compliant   Non-Qualified Mortgages CUFBL, in support of the industry and our members, has chosen to continue to offer non-QM loans. If you recall, Qualified Mortgages (QM’s) are more restrictive in the debt ratio allowed, in the amount of points and fees allowed to be charged, may have more stringent length of employment and income verification guidelines, and documentation requirements for the consumer. He had a steady job, a decent credit score and a wife who happened to work for a bank: What could possibly go wrong?" WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The U.S. Senate Banking Committee will take up a measure that may determine whether millions of low- to moderate-income consumers will be able to buy or sell modestly priced homes. The Preserving Access to Manufactured Housing Act (HR 650 and S 682) addresses the unintended consequences of the Dodd-Frank Act, passed to protect consumers in the wake of the subprime mortgage crisis.
