TriadFinancialservices_corporatePtressRelease

Jacksonville, Fla. (April 21,2017) – Triad Financial Services, Inc (Triad) has been providing services to the manufactured home industry for over 50 years. During this time, Triad has incorporated various services to better assist those in the manufactured home industry.

In 2016, Triad created a Risk Purchasing Group (RPG) in response to the increasing demand for affordable liability insurance for manufactured home retail dealers. In addition to insurance savings, the program will provide periodic loss prevention and risk management tips and information. In addition to the general liability program, Triad’s insurance division provides competitively priced inventory open lot coverage, commercial property coverage, commercial auto insurance, coverage for contractors equipment, as well as access to a national homeowners program for manufactured housing.

Recent changes in the manufactured home general liability insurance markets have undergone changes to where it may be difficult to find affordable coverage for manufactured homes dealers. Triad wants to ensure that dealerships across the country are aware of their Risk Purchasing Group and the benefits it provides to dealers. Members of Triad’s RPG will not be charged a membership to join; however, a nominal servicing fee is applied to their general liability premium each year.

Triad’s RPG was formed to assist manufactured home dealers with various services that are specifically designed for their industry as well as the dealership’s unique needs.

RV-MH-logo-posted-in-mhpronewsELKHART, Ind., -- It's still six months until the October 31, deadline for nominations for the RV/MH Hall of Fame Class of 2018, and Darryl Searer, president of the RV/MH Heritage Foundation (Foundation) wanted to remind those considering nominating someone that they should start working on their nomination.

Searer said, "Even though we are intensely planning for the induction dinner celebration for the Class of 2017 on August 7, 2017, it's really not too early to start the process of nominating a deserving individual to the Hall of Fame for the Class of 2018. It's a lengthy process that should not wait until the last minute, so I urge those who are considering a nominee to download the guidelines and forms so their nominee can be considered for the Class of 2018."

The nomination guidelines and forms available online at www.rvmhhalloffame.org/pages/nominations.cfm.

According to the guidelines, anyone can nominate a person to the Hall of Fame that meets the eligibility requirements. The only people who may not be considered are those who currently serve on the Hall's Selection Committee.

To be eligible the nominee must be, or have been, an active participant in any segment of the recreation vehicle, campground, or manufactured housing industries for a minimum of 25 years. And starting with Class of 2017, Canadians can also be nominated also.

Also, the nomination form must be filled out in its entirety and must be accompanied by three supporting letters (no more, no less) that meet the Hall's guidelines for these letters. Incomplete nominations cannot be considered. If the nominee is not selected within five years, he or she remains eligible only if the nomination is resubmitted and refreshed with additional information.

rv-mh-hall-of-fame-wall-inductees-

When evaluating a potential nominee, the selection committee will consider the nominee's overall contributions to the good of the industry, to include both his or her positions, accomplishments, and innovations on the job as well as volunteer work both inside and outside the industry, with special emphasis on volunteer work done on behalf of state and national associations and owner groups, the Hall of Fame itself and other industry-related organizations and causes.

If a completed nomination form and three properly-prepared seconding letters are received by October 31 of any year, the nominee will be in the pool of candidates considered for the following year's class and for four years beyond that if not selected that year.

The Hall's Selection Committee will announce its selections in January 2018 and those chosen will be inducted at the Hall's annual Induction dinner in August. The Hall's bylaws allow for up to 10 inductees per year.

Searer said, "The Hall welcomes nominations from all RV and manufactured housing sectors -- manufacturers, dealers, campgrounds, housing communities, suppliers, user groups, trade media, associations, etc. -- for the class of 2018 and beyond.

"The nominating committee is especially interested in receiving nominations for deserving early pioneers who may have been forgotten, passed over or overlooked in the past."

Searer said, "The Selection Committee is made up of an equal number of members of the RV and Manufactured Housing industries, and members will only vote on nominees from their respective industries."

Once the nomination form and supporting letters have been completed, the nominations may be submitted by mail, in person at the Hall, or by fax at 574-293-3466

Business is BOOMING at Sunshine Homes!  Retailers, communities, and builder/developers are watching homes sell fast and at good margins.  Let’s review some of the reasons.

As important as great homes are, what we do to support our independent retailers and communities that compliments those sizzling model homes in your inventory can mean the difference between okay sales, and homes that turn several times a year.

First, if you’re ready to attract more customers that pay cash or has good credit, look no further than Sunshine Homes.  Our Energy Star ™ rated homes are residential designs that impress and sell previous owners of conventional homes.  You can have floorplans ordered either as a HUD Code manufactured home, or as a state coded modular home.

StanPoseyJohnBostickLindseyBostickGaryDobbsSunshineHomesRedBayAL

Award-winning Stan Dye of Star Homes says that 99% of what he stocks and sells now are residential style homes.  Listen to his experience in the video below.  Residential style homes are attracting – and selling - previous site built home owners.

Award winning retailer, Jerri Lynn Campbell also swears by Sunshine.  In fact, they own a big Sunshine Homes multi-sectional themselves. See why they’re believers.

Our Industry’s Best Marketing, Leads, Sales Support for Independents

To attract more cash and good credit customers, beyond offering homes you’ll be proud to sell – and that your customers will be proud to own – we provide you with the marketing, leads, and sales coaching beyond what anyone else in our markets currently provide.

Those marketing and sales tools help our retailers and communities sell more quality, attractive homes, which is why we’re growing at a pace twice as fast as the industry at large.

SavingtheAmericanDreamOfHomeOwnershipEdwardMIchelleLoveSunshineHomesRedBayALSouthernColonelHomesHattiesburgMS

Listen to what others say about on online training, Tuesday’s With Tony, which we offer as a no-cost bonus to Sunshine Homes retailers.

Anyone can grab a video camera.  But studies demonstrate that video interviews done by a third party – in this case, MHLivingNews.com - can tell a story with far more impact with shoppers than one you, or even a factory, makes.

Here’s an example of one of our home owners, who gladly volunteered – unpaid – to tell his story.  We have a number of other Sunshine Homes customer interviews.

Be where the action is! Come See Sunshine Homes at the 2017 Tunica Manufactured Housing Show.

We’re going to be in the promise keeping business.” - Vice-President Mike Pence.

“We're going to enforce the law of this country.” – Then VP candidate, Gov. Mike Pence.

“We're going to enforce the law…” – President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.

“Ben Carson has a brilliant mind and is passionate about strengthening communities and families within those communities. We have talked at length about my urban renewal agenda and our message of economic revival, very much including our inner cities. Ben shares my optimism about the future of our country and is part of ensuring that this is a Presidency representing all Americans. He is a tough competitor and never gives up.”

Then President-elect of the United States, Donald J. Trump.

“I look forward to listening to the concerns of the American people in order to develop new solutions to age-old problems, especially increasing opportunity, and making America’s neighborhoods stronger.

Dr. Ben Carson, during a Senate confirmation hearing.

“I feel that I can make a significant contribution particularly by strengthening communities that are most in need. We have much work to do in enhancing every aspect of our nation and ensuring that our nation’s housing needs are met.

Dr. Ben Carson.

“…with a new Administration having now taken office in the nation’s capital, committed, as one of its core principles, to the “deconstruction of the administrative [i.e., regulatory] state,” the single most important national issue facing manufactured housing, as a federally-regulated industry, is the reform, reconstruction and reorganization of the federal manufactured housing program at HUD to fully implement – and fully comply with – the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000.”

 M. Mark Weiss, JD. President and CEO of Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR).

“Time for REAL Change at HUD … and Beyond…”

– M. Mark Weiss, JD. President and CEO of MHARR.

MHARRIssuesAndPerspectivesMHARRLogoSpotlightsSolutionsAffordableHousingCrisisSavingTaxpayersBoostingHomeOwnershipBusinessesWhileCreatingJobs

Washington, D.C.Welcome to the inaugural issue of “MHARR -- Issues and Perspectives,” said M. Mark Weiss, President and CEO of the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR).

With those words, Weiss dives into the raison d'etre for MHARR’s new periodic publication, which he states will “offer analysis and opinion regarding the often complex issues facing the manufactured housing industry, its members” and manufactured home owners and prospective consumers in Washington DC.”

Weiss, who has previously cheered the nomination and appointment of Dr. Carson as HUD Secretary, now calls on him and President Donald J. Trump’s Administration to enforce the law regarding the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000.

Under the 2000 reform law,” says Weiss, “HUD’s mission is not merely to regulate manufactured housing.  Its responsibilities go much further.  The law, for example, directs HUD to: (1) provide “funding for a non-career [program] administrator;” (2) “ensure that the public interest in … affordable manufactured housing is duly considered in all determinations relating to the federal standards and their enforcement;” (3) “facilitate the availability of affordable manufactured homes;” (4) “facilitate[e] the acceptance of … manufactured housing within HUD;” and (5) “broadly and liberally” construe federal preemption.”

There is plenty more in the 2000 reform law, but these directives are sufficient to make the point.”

While the industry is recovering on its own since the bottom was hit in 2009, more can and must be done.

With the affordable quality housing crisis growing, and the Trump Administration signaling an intent to cut back at agencies such as HUD, the time is now for Secretary Carson to take steps to “drain the swamp” at the HUD program, without sacrificing the program itself.  That means new program leadership in accordance with the law -- i.e., an appointed administrator -- and an end to out-of-control regulation and out-of-control contractors.  “Maintaining reasonable federal regulation is essential,” Weiss said, “to preserving the fundamental affordability of manufactured housing. Sending the program back to the states would completely undermine the affordability of the nation's most affordable housing.”

Weiss has noted that the manufactured home industry has been producing its best quality homes ever, as HUD’s own records prove that only a tiny fraction – less than 1000th of one percent - of new homes go into dispute resolution.

While another association is coming under fire for what an independent publisher has termed “weaponized news,” Weiss’ vision for “MHARR -- Issues and Perspectives” is to provide solid, fact-based reports and analysis.

MHARR has – and will – cite third-party studies, such as the Small Business Administration (SBA) and George Washington University – whose independent reports have supported MHARR positions.

What has HUD done to stop the U.S. Department of Energy,” asks Weiss, “in a fundamentally-tainted rulemaking process, from singling-out manufactured homes and manufactured homebuyers for crushing energy standards (strongly opposed by MHARR) that will far exceed standards imposed on million-dollar site-built homes and devastate the HUD Code market – in a still pending rulemaking?  In a word, nothing.”

With an eye on affordable housing, Dr. Carson’s and the Trump Administration’s hopes of promoting more private sector options and solutions, Weiss focuses on key issues that Pam Danner, JD, the career administrator in charge of the HUD Code program, has largely failed to support, much less implement.

Billions of taxpayer dollars annually might be saved over time, by following the intentions of Congress in giving manufactured housing broad preemption under federal law.

Weiss also cites HUD’s “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule, to override local zoning ordinances that discriminate against affordable housing.”

All of this [regulatory failure] hurts consumers and the industry’s small businesses the most,” said Weiss.

Larger industry businesses, shielded by multi-billion-dollar corporate mega-empires, either do not care, or quietly applaud the disproportionate damage inflicted on smaller competitors while awaiting opportunities to corner an even larger share of the market. Warren Buffet himself alluded to this in his latest “Shareholder Letter” to Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. stockholders…” said Weiss.

President Trump knows this. He knows that over-regulation strangles the smaller businesses that are the engines of higher employment and greater economic growth.”

Now is the time, as President Trump said in his speech before Congress, to think boldly and act boldly,” MHARR’s president stated.

The full details of Weiss’ vision of applying the principles and promises of Dr. Carson and the Trump Administration in a fashion that:

  • saves taxpayer dollars,
  • can create thousands of private sector jobs annually,
  • all by enforcing the law,
  • freeing up independent producers and businesses to flourish, and
  • thereby serve potentially millions of more Americans

The Largest Manufactured Housing Show in the United States

The Tunica Show has more homes than any other industry event!

In 2016 The Tunica Show registered retailers, builder/developers, community owners/operators, and installers from all over the region.

2017TunicaManufacturedHousingShow450x250

The show drew 1,932 attendees this past year, from an expansive region which stretched from Illinois all the way to East Texas. The number of attendees actually exceeded our expectations and even surpassed last year's attendance numbers. This is a significant coup for the Tunica Show, because it means new business relationships abound!

This year, 70 new model homes are expected to be featured at the show. These models will offer a firsthand look at the latest technology, conveniences, efficiency, and stateof-the-art design modifications that have been developed during the past year. The don't-miss showcase of homes is an essential element in getting a firsthand view for retailer, builder/developers, community owners/operators, and installers as they head into the spring selling season. Innovation is more important than ever and the showcase of homes makes certain that everyone sees, understands and can fully utilize the new technology found in our homes. We're also expecting 100 suppliers will be joining us to exhibit their products and services. Continuing the excitement that accompanies another year at the Tunica Manufactured Housing Show, are two free lunches that will be provided for attendees. This is a convenient and delicious way to luncheon at the show site and a good way to maximize your time.
