I'd be interested in presenting and exhibiting. I'll have my team attend this event too. It is great to use technology in a manner that saves money and will not compromise the purpose of such an event.

Funny, I never got the Red Carpet treatment before. Pay attention Dennis. I think these guys have a great idea. No touchee, feelee for sure, but lots of lookee, tellee for real. And no drafty hotel room, high risk airplane ride, or heavy overcoats for those cold, windy, blustery Louisville days.

To touch, feel and actually see the product and have it embrace you is still the best approach in any Trade Show. The concept of a vitural show is interesting, but I believe it's a very negative approach in selling and promoting new products to distributors and consumers….you can do that all day at your computer!

Want to experience the “real” thing at a Home Show…go to the Tunica Show or The Great Southwest Home Show in Tulsa…where seeing (and feeling) is believing!

    Hi Deanna,
First, thanks for your candid feedback. Actually – imho – going and seeing
product IS a great way, and has its advantages. I too like to touch and
feel, so I can appreciate your thoughts on that…when my wife goes
shopping, she likes to see and feel the fabric, etc. But just as we shop or
buy things online today – and my wife is among those who do – for a variety
of reasons, so too there are advantages possible from doing a show
Virtually. One doesn't counter the other, they can compliment each other.

FYI – We will make sure that the *VLHS* show dates in no way conflict with
the live show you'll have or the one in Tunica. This isn't about
    'win-lose,' it is about win-win.

Let me outline a few thoughts and then propose that we set up a time to
discuss the *Virtual Louisville Housing Show* (VLHS) to see how we could
    collaborate for an industry win-win.

To drill down to the bare bones, here are my thoughts, but *noting that they
are flexible for the goal of achieving a win-win for the Industry*. To
rephrase, if any of the items below or that has been outlined at
http://www.MHMSM.com <http://www.mhmsm.com/> misses some element, *please let me
know;* *we can always revisit and adjust*.

Our Overview on *VLHS* are these:

    – 1) To team up with associations like yours to cross promote, “share the
    stage,” etc.
    – 2) *To share revenue* from the event with those who cross promote.
This would naturally include Associations. *** In fact, we have ideas that
could encourage more association memberships as a tie into *VLHS**. *** *
    – 3) It seems obvious to me that Associations could win more than once,
by driving business that will drive more revenues into everyone's accounts.
    – 4) We accomplish the above by establishing a 21st Century vehicle
that*drives biz-to-biz more cost effectively than a traditional trade
    show can
    * and perhaps more important, also *drives retail traffic and image
building in its wake*. We should say 'goodbye' to the days when product
was sold, and then forgotten; let's forge a model that sells product and
then drives the business to those who showcase that product that has been
    purchased!
    – 5) It is not our intention to 'compete' with any live shows. I
personally have enjoyed many, and think they will benefit in the long run
from what the *Virtual Louisville Housing Show* can generate.

BTW, one thing I like about your show is that you will have a retail
    component, that is very smart.

While we obviously want to profit from this endeavor, frankly my short term
focus is fundamentally* to take revenues from VLHS *that go to our firm (vs.
$ going to others associated with this) and *investing it into the
retail/image campaign*. In the long run, that is a win-win too.

Our team sees a paradigm that can generate enhanced image and enhanced sales
for all involved. We also plan a model that can nuance the various segments
of the industry so that there are no marketing disconnects that impair the
message. In short, it will be reality based marketing and image building.
We want people who arrive at “Business A” selling “entry level” product who
are *seeking that product,* while others arriving at “Business AAA” who seek
more 'residential' product experiencing that where the go – therein lies the
long term win in terms of a good first customer experience.

That's the outline in its essence. We've put more details on the
http://www.MHMSM.com <http://www.mhmsm.com/> website as you know that may complete
    the picture for those interested.

We've had some associations contact us already. Before moving ahead, it is
my preference to have a serious discussion with you and any on your team you
wish to include. We are prepared to adjust and move forward in a nimble
    and positive fashion.

Thanks again for all you and your associates and members are doing for the
    Industry!

    *Best regards,*

    Deanna,

I hear what you are saying, because I went to the Louisville show for years and enjoyed looking at the homes in person, meeting people and so on. A good time, and a good place to do business. So thanks for your candor.

At the same time, the realities today are that the MH industry is down to two home trade shows, and the costs of those shows are high. VLHS won't step on the toes of existing shows or other planned events. It will be planned in a way that can benefit all involved, from associations, to manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and attendees! We can create the best of the possible worlds, and drive retail traffic to participants after the show. A win-win for all involved – that is what the Virtual Louisville Housing Show will be all about!
