Wyoming Homes Owner Facing New Charges

wyoming_homes___penn__creditFollowing up on a story MHProNews last posted July 21, 2014, the hearing for Wyoming Homes owner David Valenti of Moosic, Pennsylvania included a set of new theft charges at his arraignment for the previous violations of the consumer protection laws, alleging he received down payments on modular homes that were never delivered, and refused to return the money. Valenti waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Diana Malast, and she arraigned him on the new charges and released him on $10,000 unsecured bail. The new charges accuse him of receiving $3,400 down payment from a couple on a modular home, with the house being delivered contingent on the buyers obtaining financing. Unable to find financing, they asked for their deposit back and Valenti allegedly refused to refund the money. He is also facing charges of writing a series of bad checks, according to standardspeaker.com. In a phone call after the arraignment Valenti said his business is struggling, and he is trying to return the monies. ##
