Meet the Revolutionaries in PreFab Housing Designs – Project Updates

February 7th, 2019 Comments off

MHLivingNews and MHProNews have tracked several prefabricated, 3D Printing, and other housing innovations over the years. Unicorn Revolution Precrafted Properties are among them.

Industry professionals, informed public officials, advocates, and investors know that factory-home-building makes good sense on numerous levels.  But tracking and reporting on the results of some of these operations ought to inspire those in the U.S. and Canada to realize just how much potential there actually is in the various kinds of prefabricated construction.

So while our focus tends to be the routine drama associated with manufactured homes, it is good to look to modular, tiny, container, and other emerging forms of factory-built housing.  Properly understood, these ought to compliment each other, just as entry or mid-level cars don’t harm luxury brands and models.

Other reports we’ve previously done on Revolution Precrafted – or modular builders such as:

Or there are others found in our 2018 year end summary report, found in the related resources, below the byline and notices.

Having set the table, let’s take a good look at what Revolution Precrafted provided in their news release to MHProNews today, on some of their latest projects. Keep in mind that while they started in Asia, they’ve got projects in various countries around the world.

These “revolutionary” professionals are thinking big.  They find a way. Disruptive Revolution Precrafted Properties have their eyes on the U.S. market too. Canadians?  Can you be far behind?

For news as well as inspiration, let’s turn to what they provided in their latest release.  These include project updates, ‘meet the designers’ profiles, and more.  After their release, we’ll wrap up with some closing thoughts.

Revolution Flavorscapes unveil Model Homes

Revolution Precrafted, a global leader in branded prefab structures, and Central Country Estate Inc. (CCEI)  are set to unveil the model units for its $750 million Revolution Flavorscapes. Construction of the model units for ‘Cocoon’ and ‘Alcove” homes have started in December. Cocoon is expected to be completed at the end of January while the Alcove unit will be completed by mid-February. The fully staged units will be available for viewing by March 2019.

Affordable homes designed by global boxing icon Manny Pacquiao are now available at the Revolution Flavorscapes project in Lakeshore Estate, Mexico, Pampanga. Around 200 units are now available for sale at the project for P1.9 million.

Lakeshore is offering 60 lots measuring 200 square meters. Lot owners can build their preferred home designs. They can also opt to build curated homes under the Revolution Precrafted design portfolio.

The Concept of the Tranche House is innovative modularity, offering ultimate flexibility in terms of customizing your home to satisfy your current space and financial requirements. The Tranche House is a complete unit that can form part of a larger configuration if so desired, depending on owner’s preferences. Each unit represents a liveable module for a small family.

It’s a series of 2-bedroom structures with an open living, dining, and kitchen layout. Not like your typical row-house design, this space-saving structure already has a single-car garage that can be converted into a lanai. The structure is made of insulated metal panels to keep the house insulated from heat. With the use of insulated metal panels, the heat stops at the exterior surface, thus keeping the inside of the house cool.

Factory-built housing, not just manufactured homes, are underperforming in the U.S. and Canada. There are good reasons to ponder what Revolution Prefabricated and others are doing.  While it may seem like apples and oranges, there are nevertheless numerous useful lessons.

While manufactured housing professionals are struggling at historically low levels, Robbie Antonio is demonstrating his ability to do billions of dollars in deals globally.

This is an exciting period for the company as we continue to expand our footprint worldwide. Bahrain is an important part of this expansion because of its strategic location and its very strong economy,” said Robbie Antonio, founder and CEO of Revolution Precrafted, per Deal Street.

With CNBC Asia, Antonio briefly explains where he’s come from in the 3 years since he began Revolution Precrafted Properties.

In May, Revolution Precrafted announced a deal to supply over 2,000 residential villas in Puerto Rico,” stated Deal Street. “The residential villas will have an average cost of $250,000 and will take three years to complete.”

MHLivingNews and MHProNews have tracked their results for years.

HederaKennethCobonpueRevolutionPreCraftedPropertiesDailyBusinessNewsMHProNews410When the Daily Business News first began doing periodic reports on Revolution Precrafted Properties, the Trump family had some interests in their operation.

For the purposes of this update on their star-studded designs and plans, we’ve not delved into that aspect of their business at all.

But that previously reported Trump-connection is mentioned in part because factory-built housing professionals ought to know that the person in the Oval Office at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, D.C. arguably has a stronger understanding of PreFab homes than most – if not all – of his predecessors.

Similarly, Vice President Mike Pence has – per MHProNews sources – a strong grasp of HUD Code manufactured homes. For example, VP Pence understands and uses the correct terminology, is what the Daily Business News has been told, and observed.

From federal public officials, that’s refreshing.

Then there is HUD Secretary, Dr. Ben Carson, who has personally met with both MHARR and MHI.

Secretary Carson – per sources and his own published statements – is a strong advocate of free enterprise solutions.

Secretatry Carson believes that government can play a positive role, but isn’t able to solve every problem. Thus, a mix of private and public-sector actions, working together within their respective spheres, can do more than government acting alone is able to achieve.

The Trump Administration’s demonstrated desire to roll back “useless” and “self-destructive”  regulations, and more recently, cut taxes, are widely known.

It is ushering in a period of growth that hasn’t been seen since the housing crash of 2008.

Against that professional, economic, political, and regulatory backdrop, the update on Revolution Precrafted Properties is timely.

From a series of recent statements from Revolution Precrafted to the Daily Business News,  we’ll flesh out this update, which includes links to some of our prior reports.

This “unicorn” – a term meaning a startup company valued at over $1 billion – is disrupting Asia, and has its sites set on the world.

The Daily Business News continues to provide updates,

  • because it’s trade news,
  • and as a reminder to industry professionals not to be complacent.

Other nation’s are advancing their versions of prefab construction.

Other prefab builders from Asia, Europe, and the Americas have their sights set upon the U.S. market.  Even some African operations are exploring how they can tap the need for over 8 million affordable housing units that the United States currently requires.

Revolution Precrafted, the first Philippine “Unicorn,” Sets Sight on Global Stage

The Philippines found its first unicorn in 2017, when Revolution Precrafted, a provider of prefabricated properties – homes, condos, pavilions, hotels, among others – raised an undisclosed Series B funding round that valued the company at over $1 billion,” per Deal Street Asia.

Antonio, the youngest to feature in Forbes’ 2017 list of the 50 richest people in the Philippines, spoke to this portal about Revolution Precrafted’s business model, expansion plans, and his company’s recognition as the country’s first unicorn,” Deal Street said.

Revolution Precrafted Pushes “Design Democratization”

Revolution’s concept is to bring high end design that is affordable to the masses.

With our vision of becoming the world’s largest supplier of homes, Revolution Precrafted is using technology to reimagine how a home is built. We don’t own land, we sell globally, and our homes are built and sold within months instead of years. But more than being a disruptor in the real-estate industry, Revolution Precrafted is all about design democratization,” said Jose Roberto Antonio, to the Business Mirror.

Revolution’s call for a radical transformation in the existing order. In the local property sector, drastic change is being advocated by Revolution Precrafted, harnessing the power of technology and using precrafted technology,” per the Business Mirror.

For those who’ve forgotten, the 45th president while a business man, had a knack for spotting talent.  He clearly sees that in Robbie Antonio.  The Trumps are also known for class and quality.

Antonio, beyond promoting his homes, is also promoting art.

Indeed, the Revolution Precrafted Properties concept is to make class, and high-end “artistic” design work available for prices that rival conventional building. ## (News, analysis, and commentary.)

Revolution Precrafted Properties Debuts Three New Designs

October 31st, 2016 Comments off

Revolution Precrafted Properties, a company that brings together over 30 of the world’s preeminent architects, artists and designers to create an exclusive series of prefab, livable spaces, has announced three new designs by Paulo Mendes Da Rocha + Metro, Massimiliano & Doriana Fuksas, and Philip Johnson Alan Ritchie Architects.

According to Archdaily, the new designs align with the company’s goal of democratizing the design of pre-fab structures, as they “offer a line of products that incorporate the distinct spatial and social brands of master designers.

The increasing demand for prefab in different parts of the world is solidifying the position of prefabrication in the market,” said Revolution CEO Robbie Antonio in an interview with MHLivingNews. “This can be associated with the benefits of prefab – easy and fast construction, transportability, and practicality, among others.

Speaking on their Matilda Home design, Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas shared that they were attracted by the concept of habitat.

The idea to bring design also in common life attracted us. This is a new concept of habitat of house. It’s a mobile home it can be everywhere around the world; everybody can be a client. It’s a modular unit so many of them can be added together like a cloud,” they said.

The Matilda Home. Credit: Archdaily.

This is not an object, it is a concept, it can be a city, a landscape or simply a home. Easy to build, it can be done in different materials more or less expensive. Matilda is a completely different space since nowadays we don’t need so much storage space; you just need to have a screen. The only thing is important is to have a nice place to eat, to seat and to sleep but also this can be done with something you close when you don’t need.

Discussing the Modular Glass House, Alan Ritchie talked about the original design by Philip Johnson.

The Modular Glass House. Credit: Archdaily.

The original Glass House, designed seventy years ago by Philip Johnson as his home in Connecticut, has become a classic representation of modern architecture. The Glass House was not only Philip Johnson’s private residence; it was also his viewing platform for the world. The primary function of a house is to provide for the basic need of shelter. The beauty of a glass house is that it becomes a framework for the viewing of one’s surroundings,” said Ritchie.

The modular glass house was inspired by the original but has been reimagined as a series of modular components that can be prefabricated and shipped to any site. The design follows the principals of the original by introducing a typical window bay and structure that become the outer skin of the building. I see residing in a glass house as an enhancement of the living experience by being immersed in your natural surroundings.

Speaking about their Modular Living Unit, PMR+ Metro sees their design as a multi-functional solution.

The Modular Living Unit. Credit: Archdaily.

MODULAR LIVING UNIT by PMR + METRO for Revolution Precrafted is a proposal for a prefabricated dwelling system. The project provides a multi-functional solution through the principles of reduced design grammar and refined construction technique. This flexible system can be employed in a variety of contexts and environments: urban and rural, tropical and temperate, individual and collective,” they said.

A simple structural frame permits a great range of arrangements. Its composing elements are dimensioned to allow ease of transportation and to minimize the need for the use of supporting equipment during installation.

Famous designer, Antonio Robbie, PreFab Leader & how Revolution PreCrafted can boost manufactured, modular home acceptance

RevolutionPreCraftedYoungGunsLegendsRobbieAntonioTrump-ModularPreFabHomeMHLivingNew-Revolution Pre-Crafted Properties is a collection of limited edition dwellings, ranging from functional pavilions to modular homes,” explains DesignBoom.

The average price for one of these homes or pavilions is US $300,000, which I think is very compelling, because not everyone has access to these architects. And even if you did, you would have to spend three or four million dollars on a house designed by them.” Antonio Robbie told blouinartinfo.

But my price point is a tenth of that,” Antonio said, “I want to make Revolution accessible.”

The man who worked with the Trump family on iconic projects such as Trump Tower in Century City, told MHLivingNews, “The increasing demand for prefab in different parts of the world is solidifying the position of prefabrication in the market.”
