Louisville 2014: Manufacturers Space Sold Out

August 22nd, 2013 Comments off

Louisville-show-2014With almost 5 months before the show starts, Dennis Hill with Show Ways Unlimited has told MHProNews that the manufacturers floor space is sold out. This is a good sign of the momentum being built during the last 3 years since the show was canceled in 2010. In 2011 there were some 2 dozens homes on display. In 2013, that number had risen to 39 homes. In 2014, 48 homes are booked, and it took getting more of the Kentucky Expo Center space to accommodate those extra homes. Updates are taking place on the LouisvilleManufacturedHousingShow.com during the next two weeks. You can also see the latest info on the show at this link on the MHProNews.com Corporate Press Release news module. ##

FHA to Lenders: Pay Hurricane Isaac Claims Now!

September 25th, 2012 Comments off

MHProNews has learned the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) issued a reminder to approved FHA lenders to promptly release hazard insurance funds to disaster victims of Hurricane Isaac, as per loan documents. The Mortgagee Letter says in the past some lenders used hazard insurance proceeds to pay off the mortgage, leaving the homeowners no funds to rebuild homes and lives. FHA’s Acting Commissioner Carol Galante says, “FHA Lenders are always required to follow our guidance and, particularly following a devastating disaster like Hurricane Isaac, it is important that FHA take affirmative steps to ensure that is the case.” The lender must be listed as “Loss Payee,” which protects the lender, but also ensures proceeds are available once rebuilding of the home begins. In a press release, MarketWatch says NADAguides Manufactured Housing CONNECT provides instant valuation of homes from 1963-2012, in a web-based application, with adjustments for geographic location, community and loan valuation guidelines, condition, accessories, and repairs needed. The guide helps lenders, retailers and community owners evaluate MH. The release says NADAguides are an approved cost source by the government GSEs (government sponsored enterprises), and the value report data can be tied to a specific customer, site, loan, or inventory.
