“Cannot survive if…weak” Golden Sh-thole – Lighter Side, Plus Tough Talk Respected

January 26th, 2018 Comments off

This post blends several topics – one of them mildly humorous to the left – into one.

The immigration debate – which is important to manufactured housing producers, communities, retailers and the nation – took a back seat after a leak alleged that the President Donald J. Trump in a private meeting used the words “sh-thole” to describe certain third-world countries.

Some assert the comment was made; the White House denies it.  Either way, that dominated the airwaves, internet and television for days, with fresh cries of “racism” aimed at the 45th president; who prior to running was praised by black leaders like the Rev. Jessie Jackson, a Democratic supporter.

Interestingly, not one but two black African national leaders have since praised President Trump for straight talk, and honest policies.

I wanted to thank you for the support we have received from you, personal, and your administration.  And we’re looking forward to also working with the United States at the level of the African Union, where we are tightening out reforms of the African Union, so that we get our act together to do the right things,” said Rwandan President Paul Kagame to POTUS Trump during a bilateral meeting at the world economic forum in Davos Switzerland Friday, per the Daily Caller.

America has got one of the best presidents ever,” Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said Tuesday. “I don’t know whether he was misquoted or whatever. But he talks to Africans frankly.”

Yoweri reportedly added, “In the world, you cannot survive if you are weak.”

Whatever one thinks about the president, to be fair, media analysis demonstrates that taken the most negative press ever dished out in modern times, and has not caved into it.  Weak?  Hardly. So President Museveni has a point.

The Guggenheim’s “Gift”…

Meanwhile, perhaps related was a domestic slam of the new occupants of the 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington, D.C. The Guggenheim Museum in NYC had a White House request for the loan of a painting, that Stuart Varney describes the video show.  The Washington Post reported having a copy of an email, that claimed that curator Nancy Spector, offered artist Maurizio Cattelan’s fully-functioning 18-karat gold toilet called America, which the museum just took off display.

“[The artist] would like to offer it to the White House for a long-term loan,” wrote Spector, a critic of President Trump.

So, many in Davos, Switzerland seem to be impressed with President Trump.  At least a some African leaders have shown him respect.

Yet there are those in the U.S. which seem determined to ignore the blinding reality of good economic news that the president’s policies are bringing to working class Americans, businesses and investors. Those policies are benefiting, per federal data,  includes minorities, and women, who are seeing the best job numbers in years.

Right-of-center Fox Business Network’s immigrant Stuart Varney’s fast take the on golden toilet outrage, something unimaginable to most prior presidents, is posted above. Potties and modern politics, Washington style?

The manufactured home industry can thank the Trump Administration for ordering the top-down review of HUD’s manufactured housing program.

The factory-built home industry can thank the president for putting the breaks on the CFPB too, and ordering program reviews there too.

MH Finance Earthquake Coming? Trump Admin Master Stroke? Defanging CFPB, Manufactured Housing Impact?

It may take time for some, but in time, the reality that this is the most pro-business president in at least a generation could sink in. “We Provide, You Decide.” © ## (News, analysis, and commentary.)

“Hacks” – Explosive 2016 Campaign Claims by Former DNC Chair, Donna Brazile

November 2nd, 2017 Comments off

Politico has published a 2200-word excerpt spotlighted by the Drudge Report from what promises to be a hot book soon to be released.

The title?

Hacks,” provides Donna Brazile view of what she discovered after her Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair predecessor, Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was pushed out of the post, due to exposes from WikiLeaks.

The title sounds like a creative play on words, implying that the election was ‘hacked,’ but also perhaps a reference to politicos who are ‘hacks?’

Some of Brazile’s Top Line Claims…

Per Politico’s excerpt from Brazile’s book –Hacks,”

  • President Barack Obama left the DNC and the party in debt and in a mess,
  • Debbie Wasserman Schultz was a weak leader, who allowed ‘Brooklyn’ – code for Sec. Hillary Clinton’s campaign headquarters – to effectively run the DNC, even before she won the nomination,
  • She pledged to Bernie Sanders to let him know what she learned, and that what she learned was that his hunch that the 2016 nominating process was rigged was correct,
  • That Hillary Clinton was not a shoe in to win, because there was a lack of enthusiasm from the Obama coalition,
  • That Sec. Clinton was too close to the financial interests in this country (including, but not named in this segment, one Warren Buffett),

Almost a year after the election, and not long after Hillary’s book, “What Happened?” – Hacks could upend the thoughts and approaches on both sides of the political aisle.

Quotable Quotes by Brazile from Hacks

DonnaBrazileWikipediaPostedDailyBusinessNewsMHProNewsSo I followed the money. My predecessor, Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, had not been the most active chair in fundraising at a time when President Barack Obama’s neglect had left the party in significant debt.”

Debbie was not a good manager. She hadn’t been very interested in controlling the party—she let Clinton’s headquarters in Brooklyn do as it desired so she didn’t have to inform the party officers how bad the situation was.”

By September 7, the day called Bernie, I had found my proof and it broke my heart.”

The Saturday morning after the convention in July, I called Gary Gensler, the chief financial officer of Hillary’s campaign. He wasted no words. He told me the Democratic Party was broke and $2 million in debt.”

Obama left the party $24 million in debt—$15 million in bank debt and more than $8 million owed to vendors after the 2012 campaign—and had been paying that off very slowly. Obama’s campaign was not scheduled to pay it off until 2016. Hillary for America (the campaign) and the Hillary Victory Fund (its joint fundraising vehicle with the DNC) had taken care of 80 percent of the remaining debt in 2016, about $10 million, and had placed the party on an allowance.”

Brazile said she told Sanders that while ‘all the polls’ favored Clinton, she didn’t feel the enthusiasm that kept the Obama Coalition together.  That’s an interesting point, because about a year ago, the Daily Business News on MHProNews – using mainstream media polls, but digging into the “internals” of the polls and cross referencing them, made very similar points in saying that Donald Trump could win.

The entire excerpt from Hacks, per left-of-center Politico Magazine, can be download here.

Food for Thought…

It isn’t likely to be in Hacks, nor will it likely be said by Brazile.

It should be noted that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has said that the Russians weren’t the source of the DNC documents he was provided.  He’s hinted on Hannity that it was a now dead DNC staffer, Seth Rich.

Editorially – during last year’s campaign – MHProNews supported Trump over Clinton as better for Manufactured Housing and for the nation, based upon each campaign’s stated policies and their respective histories. Related, click here.

Assange has told a Republican Congressman, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher – that if the WikiLeaks founder is promised immunity – a deal that is always contingent on solid proof – he can prove the Russians didn’t provide him the information that some believe helped Donald Trump become president.

Among the Clinton Campaign revelations by WikiLeaks are comments that disparaged Latinos as ‘needy.’ Credit, Fox News/Sean Hannity shown, which AdWeek noted has surpassed all other cable news shows in their most recent survey of viewership.

Also, while President Obama remained personally popular, the Democrats lost some 1,000 seats at the federal, state, and local level during his administration.

WikiLeaks Clinton Open Trade, Open Borders.

The “dream’ was in a paid speech by Hillary Clinton to South American bankers.

As MHProNews has reported,
markets have soared since President Trump has taken office,
consumer confidence is up, business confidence is up,
and much more.

The Trump administration works day-by-day to keep his campaign promises.  Those points also are unlikely to be in Brazile’s book. We’re proud to have supported the Trump team, then and now.

Trump Tax Reform Plan Made Simple in 52 Second Video, What’s in it for You?

It’s anyone’s guess if voter ire and feedback during the August recess will help the GOP controlled Congress bridge their own internal gaps on pending promises, such as tax reform.

But it may motivate professionals who vote if they better understood what was in the desired Trump plan.

The video on this page breaks it down in simple visual bites.  The Daily Business News’ recent report on the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) position on this issue, is linked here.

It is worth mentioning that both Democratic President Kennedy and Republican President Ronald Reagan did tax reform that resulted in lower rates, which boosted the economy and rapidly lead to more revenue for the federal government.

Propaganda? Fighting Fire with Fire? Controversial Trump TV Debuts

August 9th, 2017 Comments off

Trump TV, Credit,

Pat Buchanan, like Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), believes that the sabotage of the presidency is well underway.

But the Washington Post says that Trump TV  “sounds more like real propaganda.”

Kayleigh McEnany, who has been plying her trade as a pro-Trump pundit on CNN for a while, jumped ship to the Trump Team over the weekend,” reported the Washington Post. And Sunday, she debuted on “Trump TV…

The White House pressroom tells MHProNews daily about their perspectives on what is real and what is “fake news.”

And the president tweets his thoughts to the millions willing to check those tweets out.

The White House tells MHProNews that the clash of the left wing’s #resist – vs. what the Trump Administration is calling “real results” – are occurring in spite of a largely biased media is underway.

Flashback, Flash Forward

Before there was Donald Trump, there was conservative commentator and GOP hopeful, Patrick J. Buchanan.

Buchanan served in the Nixon Administration. The “Silent Majority” was a slogan in those days, and one that President Trump has used too. Many of Buchanan’s themes in prior election cycles were similar to those of President Donald J. Trump’s successful run in 2016.

Buchanan – like a number of other conservative TV, columnists or talk radio hosts – has largely cheered the reality TV star, real estate mogul, outsider candidate turned president.

But now, Buchanan is concerned that the “Swamp” of Washington DC and the “Deep State” could swallow up and derail the 45th president. There are even sources that whisper fears that a literal assassination attempt could be coming.

In that dramatic backdrop, Trump TV debuted this past weekend.

The first episode is shown above. “We Provide, You Decide.” ## (News, Analysis)

Surprise! President Trump Polling Better than Bill Clinton at This Stage of Presidency; Impact

June 7th, 2017 Comments off

TrumpSurpisesPollstersAgainPostedDailyBusinessNewsMHProNewsAfter months of blistering media attacks, innuendo, protests, and allegations that have turned up no evidence, President Donald J. Trump, has neither resigned nor faced impeachment.  In fact, while polling is fairly low, it is higher – per the Real Clear Politics average – than President Bill Clinton had at this point in his first year of office.

The media’s approval rating is lower still, as is the Congress.

Special elections that many sources breathlessly predicted would yield a Democratic upset, have all so far been won by the GOP.  Another special election race looms later this month in Georgia, which is reportedly close in the polling.

Markets Roar

NFIB sources tell MHProNews that they have about the same number of manufactured housing industry company members as MHI does. Photo and credit, Juanita Duggan, President and CEO of the National Federation of Independent Business (credit, NFIB).

Perhaps the strongest indicator of President Trump’s job approval are the markets.  They’ve soared since his election.

National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) President and CEO, Juanita Duggan stated after the election – as they celebrated his win, which is widely welcomed among independent businesses – “What a difference a day makes.”

We haven’t seen numbers like this in a long time,” Duggan said.

Small business is ready for a breakout, and that can only mean very good things for the U.S. economy. Business owners are feeling better about taking risks and making investments,” as Duggan and NFIB are pushing for tax reform, which along with regulatory relief are among the market drivers. See that recent story, linked here.

Specific measures on manufactured housing connected stocks reaction to Trumponomics are reported at this link here. ##
