Drew to Report Financials

RVBusiness says White Plains, NT-based Drew Industries, parent company of MH and RV suppliers Lippert Components, Inc. and Kinro, Inc. will release its third quarter 2012 corporate financial report prior to the market opening Oct. 31. A conference call will follow that same day at 11 AM eastern time, although question-and-answer participation will be limited to institutional investors and analysts. A live webcast will be available to all others interested. As MHProNews reported Oct. 3, Drew Chairman Leigh J. Abrams and other board members and officers rang the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange Oct. 5, 2012 in honor of Drew’s 50th anniversary as a       publicly traded company.

Mortgage Apps Fall

In the latest weekly report from the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), nationalmortgagenews says mortgage applications dropped 1.2 percent for the latest weekly reading Oct. 5 following a 16.6 percent spike for the previous week ending Sept. 28. Refi applications accounted for 83 percent of the apps, much the same as the previous week. Many mortgage analysts and lenders expect October to be a very strong month, perhaps stronger than Sept. As MHProNews as learned, MBA’s Mike Fratantoni said refi volumes are “still near three-year highs, and purchase applications increased to the highest level since June, with both conventional and government volumes increasing.” Average 30-year fixed-rate mortgages (FRMs) were going for 3.56 percent while 15-year FRMs fell to 2.88 percent, the lowest in the history of the survey.

Drew Celebrates 50 Years

WALB-TV reports White Plains, NY-based Drew Industries, Inc. (NYSE:DW) will ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Fri., Oct. 5 in honor of Drew’s 50th anniversary as a publicly traded company. Drew’s initial public offering in 1962 denotes its involvement in real estate financing, management and ownership. Currently, through its subsidiaries, Lippert Components, Inc. and Kinro, Inc., Drew supplies an array of components to the RV and manufactured home industries from 31 factories across the nation and employs 5,000. MHProNews has learned Drew has annual revenues over $800 million.
