RV/MH Hall of Fame Issues call for Class of 2016

RV MH hall of fame in elkhart indianaThe RV/MH Hall of Fame is seeking nominations for the Class of 2016. The Selection Committee will receive nominations from all recreational vehicle (RV) and manufactured housing (MH) sectors, including dealers, campgrounds, manufacturers, retailers, trade media, associations, user groups.

As rvbusiness informs MHProNews, to be eligible the nominee must be, or have been, involved in any segment of the industry for at least 25 years. The nomination form must be completed entirely and include three supporting letters. Nominees will be judged based on their overall contributions to the advancement of the industry, with special emphasis on volunteer work with industry-related causes and organizations.

The nomination form must be received by Oct. 31. The Hall’s Selection Committee will announce its choices in January, and those selected will be inducted at the Hall’s annual induction dinner in August. If not selected, the nominee will remain in the pool for three years, after which time new information and a new nomination form will be required.

The nominating committee is formed of equal members from the the RV and MH industries. ##

The Texas Manufactured Housing Association (TMHA) sends a reminder that nominations for the TMHA Board of Directors are due by 5 PM today, July 10, 2013. Texas continues to far outnumber other states in shipment of HUD Code homes since the rebound of the industry in Aug. 2011, with 19,143 homes through May 2013. As MHProNews has learned, the next three states on the list—LA, FL and AL—account for 17,060 homes during that same period, according to Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) statistics.
