Manufactured Homes have Gone to Pot

January 13th, 2016 Comments off

wisdom_homes_of_americaMHProNews has learned from einnews that Wisdom Homes of America (OTC PINK:WOFAD) of Tyler, Texas is discontinuing its manufactured home retail centers and returning their energies back to the cannabis industry that has served them well beginning in 2010, according to Jim Pakulis, CEO of Wisdom.

Now legal for medical and recreational usage in 23 states and the District of Columbia, cannabis is one of the fastest growing industries in the country, generating billions in annual revenues. Wisdom expects the strong trend to continue for at least five years, and intends to capitalize on the company’s knowledge of the industry.

Aligning itself with leading technology and services, Wisdom (which will develop a new name within 60 days) has chosen a product, Cannastrips, cannabis infused oral strips, which releases a controlled dosage of cannabis, for which the company intends to execute a licensing agreement with Canna Delivery Systems, Inc.

Says Pakulis: “The cannabis industry is now evolving very fast. Billions of dollars are now invested in the space. Combining that with a better understanding of the regulatory environment will result in, among other things, nationally recognizable brands. These brands will have quality ingredients with superior packaging providing the consumer with consistency and reliability, which we believe is provided with Cannastrips.” ##

Wisdom Homes Offering Land-Home Package Deal for Manufactured Homes

May 27th, 2015 Comments off

wisdom_homes_of_americaManufactured home (MH) retailer Wisdom Homes of America, Inc. (OTCQB: WOFA), based in Tyler, Texas, is teaming up with Sherman Countryside, LLC to sell MH to consumers who will purchase homesites on land developed by Sherman in six subdivisions comprised of 185 developed lots in Sherman, Texas. Wisdom Homes will continue to open retail centers near the subdivisions and throughout northern Texas.

Jim Pakulis, CEO of Wisdom Homes of America, says, “We’re taking a successful model, which is opening and operating manufactured home retail centers in Texas, and making it even better for the home buyer. By offering move-in-ready, quality, affordable homes we increase our revenues and decrease the length of time it takes for a home buyer to move in. In short, it saves the home buyer time and money, especially since they no longer need to obtain expensive construction financing.

Sherman Countryside will be owned by investors who purchase identified, fully improved residential lots in Sherman, Texas, and purchase homes employing an exclusive agreement with Wisdom Homes which will then sell the land-home packages to consumers. Pakulis and Brent Nelms, the president of Wisdom Homes, will manage Sherman Countryside Management, LLC, a recently formed entity, according to CNNMoney.

Says Nelms, “We see the land-home package as an excellent complement to our retail office model. And there are tremendous real estate opportunities in key areas in the heartland right now. Once we get the Sherman development and sales under way, then our goal is to expand on the retail office, subdivision model.

As MHProNews has reported numerous times, the most recent being April 3, 2015, Texas is far and away the leader in shipments of MH. Sherman, Texas is near the Oklahoma border. Oklahoma ranks number ten of all the states in shipments. ##

Wisdom Homes Announce New Development on Texas – Oklahoma Border

February 4th, 2015 Comments off

wisdom-homes-new-development-texas-oklahoma (2)Wisdom Homes Of America, Inc., announced on February 4 that the company has an option to acquire 25 residential lots in Sherman, Texas, on which to locate manufactured homes.

“We are continually striving to make the manufactured home buying experience easier and faster for our customers,” Brent Nelms, President of Wisdom Homes, said. “Our goal is to help our customers by assisting them in finding residential lots on which to locate their manufactured homes. We also want to offer our customers a manufactured home that is already permanently affixed to the land, with all the improvements in place.”

Globe Newswire tells MHProNews that Nelms pointed out that one of the major benefits of offering a manufactured home permanently affixed to the land is that the sale is considered a real property (real estate) transaction as opposed to a chattel (personal property) transaction. “This important change in transaction classification allows us to utilize the more than 23,000 licensed realtors in Texas to access the listings and market our manufactured homes,” Nelms explained.

Jim Pakulis, CEO of SearchCore, Wisdom Homes’ parent company explained why the Sherman area was chosen as the site of the company’s new development. “The Sherman area is appealing for a number of reasons,” he said. “It has a robust, diversified industry base that is not dependent on oil production alone.”

Since Sherman is located just a few miles from the Oklahoma state line, Pakulis said that this location allows the company to market to home buyers in both Northern Texas and Southern Oklahoma.

SearchCore, Inc., founded in 2010, is a manufactured housing retail center owner and operator. The company is headquartered in Tyler, Texas, and its common stock trades on the OTCQB under the ticker symbol SRER. ##

Wisdom Homes of America Reports Positive 4th Quarter Results

January 29th, 2015 Comments off

wisdom-homes-of-america-searchcore-logo-posted-daily-business-news-mhpronews-com-SearchCore, Inc., announced this week that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Wisdom Homes Of America, Inc., reported sales of $725,000 for the fourth quarter of 2014, an increase of 106% as compared to $351,500 in sales of manufactured homes for the third quarter of 2014.

“We had steady traffic at our retail stores in the fourth quarter, especially in December, and our revenue came in as expected,” SearchCore President Brent Nelms said. “Also in December, we opened our Mount Pleasant location, our largest retail center to date, with more than three acres to showcase our model home inventory,” he added. “Mt Pleasant will also serve as an inventory warehouse for our other locations. This is an ideal situation for us as we create and grow the ‘hub and spoke’ model in northeast Texas.”

The entire management of SearchCore and Wisdom Homes is encouraged about sales for 2015. It seems that the continued decline in prices of oil has not affected their sales. “We’ve seen no interruption in traffic at our retail stores as a result of the drop in gas prices,” SearchCore’s CEO, Jim Pakulis said. “In fact, less than 10% of our existing customers are in the petroleum industry. Our retail centers are located outside the Texas petroleum belts, and we’ve mapped out our future stores to cater to a variety of robust, diversified industries just like our existing stores do.”

He attributed some of this growth to the fact that Texas continues to bring in many different types of companies from other states due to its business-friendly climate. “This combination of factors positions us for continued growth well into the future,” he added.
