All but One MH-related Stocks Gain

syock_report_March_11In the news from CNNMoney: Lane Bryant upset that networks will not air ads. Gulf of Mexico pumping oil like never before. Woman who sued Trump University six years ago wants to drop case. U. S. oil and gas rigs fall to 70-year lows. Rich mens’ wallets getting fatter while poor are paid less.

Meanwhile, the Yahoo Manufactured Housing Composite Value (MHCV) gained +1.69 percent to close at 1177.8. All except one active manufactured housing related stocks we cover closed up, or even, but Northstar Realty Finance advanced more than other covered stocks, +4.57 percent to close at $13.27. Third Avenue Value Fund dropped the most of tracked stocks, -0.13 percent, to close at $46.01.

On the Big Board:

The Dow Jones Industrial Average moved up +1.28 percent, +218.18 points, to end the week at 17,213.31.

The NASDAQ gained the most of the three indices +1.85 percent, +86.31 points, to end at 4,748.47

The S&P 500 gained +1.64 percent, +32.62 points, to close at 2,022.19.

Drew’s President Draws $222k in Sale of Drew Stock

drew_industIn a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), dakotafinancialnews reports Scott T. Mereness, president of Drew Industries, Inc., sold 3,700 shares of stock in a transaction dated Nov. 25 at an average price of $60.00 per share for a total net of $222,000.00. Mereness now owns 115,242 shares, valued at $6,914,520.00.

As MHProNews reported Nov. 25, 2015, Drew CEO Jason Lippert sold 2,800 shares of company stock at $59.80 per share for a net of $167,440. He still owns 130,711 shares of stock. Further, MHProNews reported Nov. 16, 2015 that Drew Chairman Emeritus Leigh Abrams sold 6,000 shares of Drew stock for a transaction net of $355,620. In MHProNews’ daily stock report, Fri., Nov. 27, Drew’s stock closed up +1.90 at $61.67.

In the company’s last quarterly report filed Nov. 3, 2015, Drew’s revenue rose 17.3 percent compared to the same quarter of 2014, hitting $345 million, besting analyst’s estimates of $333.14 million.

From its wholly-owned subsidiary Lippert Components, Inc., in Elkhart, Indiana, and through its 37 facilities across the nation, Drew produces and distributes components to the manufactured housing and recreational vehicle industries. ##

Stocks Relatively Quiet as Federal Reserve Backs off from Interest Rate Hike

On the Big Board:

Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped -0.39 percent, -65.21 points to close at 16,674.74

NASDAQ edged up +0.10 percent, +4.71 points to end the day at 4,893.95

S&P 500 nudged down 0.26 percent, -5.11 points to end the day at 1,990.20

Manufactured Housing Composite rose +1.08 percent to close at 957.5. Manufactured housing-related stocks we cover closed mixed or even in today’s trading. Cavco Industries moved up more than other stocks, +1.77 percent, to close at $73.59. Deer Valley fell more than other covered stocks, -6.67 percent to close at $0.70.
