American Pie – The Parody Project – The Day Collusion Died, and Manufactured Home Investing

April 25th, 2019 Comments off

AmericanParodyProjectDayRussianCollusionDiedManufacturedHomeInvestingMHProNews

Let’s be clear, allegations of Trump Campaign-Russian collusion have no direct ties to manufactured housing, save perhaps for the fact that the 45th president made a historic visit to a manufactured home community.

That said, one of the top concerns that CEOs and investors have are changes in government and policies.  Good polices are obviously better for business. Bad policies are worse for business. Duh, right?

Let’s share the video parody. Then a brief commentary.

Early on, the Daily Business News on MHProNews stuck its neck out to report that Trump campaign-Russian collusion should not cause investors or professionals any angst.  Why?

Evidence, follow the money, and deductive reasoning are all part of our not-so-secret formula.

As some examples, we Democratic supporter Alan Dershowitz’s reasoning.  We also cited an undercover video of a CNN producer caught by Project Veritas, who said in 2017 that Russian collusion was cited a big “nothing burger.”  But there was more fact-, logic- and evidence-based reasons we published along the way.

Everyone has opinions.  Those are a dime a dozen.  The Daily Business News on MHProNews didn’t just dish out opinions.  MHProNews cited sources, across the left-right divide.  We continue to follow that ‘wheat and chaff’ principle on subjects of merit for industry professionals, advocates, and investors to consider.

As a result, we get input here that few if any others in the industry’s media gets.  We document how others can be wrong, wrong, wrong.

The result of our hard-hitting fact checks and timely analysis?  Readers like you have made and kept us the runaway #1 in manufactured housing trade media by a country mile.  Thank you for that honor, we work daily to keep that hard-earned trust.

That has never been, nor could it be, a one-person operation.  This is team work. We get tips from readers like yourself.  We get support from visible and invisible sources. We thank our sponsors, supporters, sources and readers.

Let us take this opportunity to remind others that have been scared by the powers-that-be that their clock is quietly ticking. The time to break free of the Omaha-Knoxville-Arlington axis.

If you’ve been wasting sponsorship or ad dollars elsewhere, it is time to check out the place where we have the audience and the results.

Link

That said, good B2B marketing is a valuable side benefit of useful, practical news, commentary, and analysis.  We’re not perfect, when we goof, we fix it and admit it.

We also give opposing views an opportunity to sound off.  The fact that the opposition has largely gone silent, save obliquely, is telling, isn’t it?

By the way.  Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report is arguably wrong about a key point. Its this.  There were Americans who colluded with Russia during the campaign.  They just weren’t with the Trump campaign.  The faux ‘Steele dossier’ – per the New York Times – now appears to be Russian disinformation. Duh! They didn’t know that 2 years ago?  The funding for that started as oppo research to Donald Trump by some Republicans, who dropped it, and it was picked up by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee (DNC).  Watch that as it unfolds, because it almost certainly will.

Some readers have been telling us that we need to periodically toot-the-horn on important items we’ve been proven correct about.  With your okay, let’s let this count on that slate.

“If You’re Not Catching Flak, You’re Not Over the Target”

September 19th, 2017 Comments off

TakingFlakOvertheTargetWWIIBomberDailyBusinessNewsMHProNewsIf you’re not catching flak, you’re not over the target. Lawsuits won’t deter us. Expect more videos soon,” tweeted James O’Keefe with Project Veritas.

The expression O’Keefe shared is a reference to what bomber pilots use to express the point that when they are “catching flak,” or anti-aircraft fire, they are over the target area.

For those who don’t know Project Veritas’ work – or its potential lessons for manufactured housing industry professionals – those connections will be made later below. Their methods can be summarized as follows.

First, one or more of O’Keefe’s colleagues go under cover.

Then, they gain the confidence of one or multiple people in an organization such as CNN.

Finally, they produce videos that reflect what is going on behind the scenes.  Those under cover videos  can then spotlight issues that the public may not be fully aware is taking place.

O’Keefe’s organization calls that “The American Pravda” series.  Their title is a play on words.

AMessageFromJamesO'KeefeStackFrivolousLawsuitsDailyBusinessNewsMHProNews

Still from the Project Veritas video below. MHProNews has no direct connection with this organization.  Editorially as a pro-MH Industry trade publisher, we can relate to their experience.  How so?  As was previously reported, parties allegedly acting on behalf of an Arlington, VA based trade association have sent messages that threaten lawsuits, that would be frivolous claims. MHProNews has in every case ‘called their bluff,’ see example, linked here. In each case, no suit has yet been filed or served on this publication. Editorially, we believe it is because we strive to be fair and accurate.  We strive to work on the correct side of the legal lines that media should operate under. MHProNews has been exploring possible contingency suits, interviewing law firms, but has not yet opted to taken action. Stay tuned.

For those too young to recall the Cold War, or who’ve not studied Soviet history, Pravda and Isvestia were the two primary state-run newspapers in Russia’s Communist era.  Pravda means “truth,” which the publication was a propaganda tool for their government.

PravdaWikipediaDailyBusinessNewsMHProNews

There’s no truth in Pravda and no news in Izvestia,” is a proverb akin to ‘let the buyer beware.’  All media ought to be viewed with a healthy degree of skepticism.

That state media propaganda method was widely known, so a saying arose among millions of the Soviet Union’s people: “There’s no truth in Pravda and no news in Izvestia.

IzvestiaWikipediaDailyBusinessNewsMHProNews

A recent example of Project Veritas’ American Pravda series was a report about CNN, where they have a producer on camera who said that the Russia collusion reports with the Trump campaign were “bullsh-t.”

JohnBonifieldCNNSupervisingProducerProjectVeritasDailyBusinessNewsMHProNews

A still from the video below, which produced several of the quotes on this page.

Per Project Veritas, “John Bonifield a Sr. Producer at CNN, admits to several beliefs that are in direct conflict with the official CNN narrative that Trump has colluded with Russia, and that Russia has interfered with the 2016 election.”

IReportMHNewsTips@MHMSM-comMHProNews

To report a news tip, click the image above or send an email to iReportMHNewsTips@mhmsm.com – To help us spot your message in our volume of email, please put the words NEWS TIP in the subject line.

Bonifield expressed on this video “clear doubts that there is a fire behind the Russia smoke,” as the producer stated, “I haven’t seen any good enough evidence to show that the President [Trump] committed a crime.”

Bonifield also confirmed that CNN staff is ideologically biased against Trump, stating, “I know a lot of people don’t like him and they’d like to see him get kicked out of office…”

That contention has been indirectly confirmed by a number of post-election studies of bias in the mainstream media.  A recent one stated the some 91% of the news about the president is negative.

Bonifield further confirmed CNN’s bias against the president, stating, “I think the President is probably right to say, like, look you are witch hunting me…you have no real proof.”

Bonifield expressed the view that the Russia story was great for CNN’s ratings, “and that orders from CEO Jeff Zucker himself have directed CNN to pursue Russia leads at the expense of other stories.”

Bonifield also stated on video, “And the CEO of CNN said in our internal meeting, he said ‘good job everybody covering the Climate Accords, but we’re done with it let’s get back to Russia.’”

The senior CNN producer further comments on Russia, “it’s mostly bullsh-t right nowLike, we don’t have any giant proof…if it was something really good, it’d leak.”

The Methods of Propaganda

When there is little or no push back against what a source states, that source’s narrative will over time tend to be believed.

This is an important reality for the manufactured housing industry in several ways.

One is the direct connection of political and regulatory events impacting the factory built home industry.  The regulatory regime manufactured housing encounters has led thousands of industry professionals to believe the industry has been constrained from achieving its true potential.  Some examples include:

The other is that much of the media, intentionally or not, routinely uses terminology and a narrative that are not always accurate and widely reflect bias perceived by industry professionals as harmful to the interests of manufactured housing industry and its home owners.

PublishingHandPickedInformationCanBeWorsefortheImpressionItMakesOnManufacturedHomesandOurIndustryThanStatingEntirelyFalseInfo-BradLovinNCMHA

Whether or not someone is a fan of O’Keefe, Julian Assange, or their methods, each in their own way are raising important issues about the power and influence of media in America.

JulianAssangeJamesOkeefeDailyBusinessNewsMHProNews

Those sources are also raising questions about how the political system actually works, as opposed to how one may wish them to be. ##

Editorial Footnote

As a footnote, the manufactured housing industry routinely needs a similar effort that exposes the questions, problems and issues that “official” sources may be spinning or permitting to flow to the industry and/or to the public.

Is FEMA Prepared for Hurricane Harvey Recovery?

FEMA is going to be there for years,” Brock Long, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” in regards to the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

Long added, “This disaster is going to be a landmark event.”

Hurricane Harvey made landfall last Friday night, between Port Aransas and Port O’Connor, Texas. It hit as a category 4 hurricane, per CNN.

Earlier on Friday, the Daily Business News had reported that the storm was expected to do $36.9 billion in damages if it had made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane.

MH Retailer North of Houston

MHProNews heard from a retailer north of Houston that indicated they had temporarily closed their sales center during the deluge.

They expected to reopen Wednesday or Thursday to brisk business.

Flooding, Destruction

At this time a more accurate estimate for the damage is unavailable, as the storm is an ongoing event. Considering the storm made landfall as a Category 4 not 3, and the damage is extensive, as the videos below from CNN reveal.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has reminded residents to follow all local weather warnings and says that the Trump Administration has been accommodating throughout the events of the last week.

I’ve talked to President Trump several times, as well as his Cabinet members and his officials, and especially the head of FEMA,” said Abbott. “And we’ve made multiple requests, and we’re getting absolutely everything we need.”

When asked in the CNN interview whether or not FEMA was prepared to stay in Texas for “months on end,” Long replied saying, “We’re setting up and gearing up for the next couple years.”

Damage from Hurricane Harvey goes beyond what was caused by high winds. Much of the damage has been caused by flooding, with people escaping their homes through second story windows and even through holes in the roof – as you saw in the video above.

The state has seen more rain in a few days than they normally see in a year, with The Weather Channel estimating 50 inches of rainfall before the rain finally subsides.

I’m asking for all citizens to get involved here,” Long said. “Donate your money, figure out how you can get involved as we help Texas find a new normal going forward after this devastating disaster.”

FEMA also put up a page today that provides safety tips and emergency numbers for Texans.

Tragic Events Outline Opportunity for Manufactured Housing

There are an estimated 30,000 people in need of shelter after losing their homes to the storm, per ABC News.

Though the circumstances are tragic, it’s an opportunity for the manufactured housing industry to once more step up to the plate, and provide assistance to those in need.

Hurricane Harvey was the strongest storm to make landfall in the U.S. in a decade, per The Queensland Times. The destruction it has caused has been significant, and the flooding won’t stop until well after the rain does.

Whether the recovery for the state takes months, or years, it is a long road ahead for the cities in Texas affected by the storm.

The Austin-American Statesman reports that Gov. Abbott gave the Trump administration an “A-plus” for its response to Hurricane Harvey, saying “all across the board, from the White House to the federal administration to FEMA, they’ve been very helpful.”  The president is expected to make a visit today to the flood ravaged state.

This is a storm that the United States has not seen yet,” Long said. ## (News, analysis.)

Propaganda? Fighting Fire with Fire? Controversial Trump TV Debuts

Pat Buchanan, like Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), believes that the sabotage of the presidency is well underway.

But the Washington Post says that Trump TV  “sounds more like real propaganda.”

Kayleigh McEnany, who has been plying her trade as a pro-Trump pundit on CNN for a while, jumped ship to the Trump Team over the weekend,” reported the Washington Post. And Sunday, she debuted on “Trump TV…

The White House pressroom tells MHProNews daily about their perspectives on what is real and what is “fake news.”

And the president tweets his thoughts to the millions willing to check those tweets out.

The White House tells MHProNews that the clash of the left wing’s #resist – vs. what the Trump Administration is calling “real results” – are occurring in spite of a largely biased media is underway.

Flashback, Flash Forward

Before there was Donald Trump, there was conservative commentator and GOP hopeful, Patrick J. Buchanan.

Buchanan served in the Nixon Administration. The “Silent Majority” was a slogan in those days, and one that President Trump has used too. Many of Buchanan’s themes in prior election cycles were similar to those of President Donald J. Trump’s successful run in 2016.

PatBuchananCreditsMediaMattersofAmericaDailyBusinessNews

Buchanan – like a number of other conservative TV, columnists or talk radio hosts – has largely cheered the reality TV star, real estate mogul, outsider candidate turned president.

But now, Buchanan is concerned that the “Swamp” of Washington DC and the “Deep State” could swallow up and derail the 45th president. There are even sources that whisper fears that a literal assassination attempt could be coming.

In that dramatic backdrop, Trump TV debuted this past weekend.

The first episode is shown above. “We Provide, You Decide.” ## (News, Analysis)

Love for the HUD Code’s manufactured homes is out there, increasingly, to be sure – as MHLivingNews routinely reports.  But there’s more downer stories than positive ones, a fact the industry’s professionals must routinely respond to as they arise.

Trump’s Negative News Coverage Belies Public’s Positive Pesky Facts

While various narratives continue from talking heads and media pundits about President Donald Trump’s lack of progress, the numbers don’t lie.

As the Daily Business News covered in a feature story yesterday, while President Trump continues to make progress, including the lowest unemployment rate in decades, and the highest consumer, business confidence, and homebuilder confidence numbers in years, along with over $300 billion in deals with Saudi Arabia, what ELS Chairman Sam Zell colorfully called a “cacophony” of Deep State resistance has moved into high gear.

And that cacophony is shown in a new study from Harvard University’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, which looked at the news coverage of the President over his first 100 days in office.

The study, based on an analysis of news reports in the print editions of The New York TimesThe Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post, the main newscasts of CBS, CNN, Fox News, and NBC, and three European news outlets – the Financial Times and BBC, and Germany’s ARD, show the power of media and the creation of echo chambers.

President Trump dominated media coverage in the outlets and programs that were studied, with the President being the topic of 41 percent of all news stories.

This is three times the amount of coverage received by previous presidents. He was also the featured speaker in nearly two-thirds of his coverage.

And with that coverage, which the President has received almost non-stop for most weeks of his presidency, without a single major topic where the coverage, on balance, was more positive than negative, setting a new standard for unfavorable press coverage of a president.

Those Pesky Facts…

New research from Gallup shows that Americans are less worried about eight specific financial issues than they were last year, with concerns about some issues falling to their lowest levels in a decade or more.

U.S. adults are most concerned about not having enough money for retirement and not being able to pay medical costs of a serious illness or accident, with 54 percent saying they are ‘very’ or ‘moderately’ worried about each. These two concerns have typically been the most worrisome issues for Americans since Gallup began asking about the collection of eight financial worries in 2001,” said Justin McCarthy, a Gallup analyst.

The Manufactured Housing Industry Speaks

With President Trump’s election in November, many in the manufactured housing industry saw tremendous value in a pro business, pro growth administration stepping into place.

With a personal background in business, rather than government, Mr. Trump – during the just-ended campaign – has been a consistent critic of innovation-stifling and job-killing overregulation and regulators who ignore or rationalize the far-reaching negative impacts of such regulations on the health of the economy, smaller businesses and consumers….” Said MHARR President & CEO Mark Weiss, JD.

On a day where Dr. King is honored for his achievements, there is no shortage of tension leading up to the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.

Over 20 Democratic lawmakers in the House of Representatives, led by Rep. John Lewis, have said they wouldn’t attend. Some are citing the president-elect’s past lewd comments about women and remarks about illegal immigrants; others, such as Mr. Lewis, cite accusations of Russian-backed hacking of political committees during the 2016 election.

I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president,” Lewis told NBC. “I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected. And they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.

According to some of those lawmakers, comments that President-elect Trump made in response to the comments from Lewis prompted them to not attend.

For me, the personal decision not to attend [the] inauguration is quite simple: Do I stand with Donald Trump, or do I stand with John Lewis? I am standing with John Lewis,” Rep. Ted W. Lieu (D- Calif.) said in a statement Saturday.

I Voted For Trump

Alveda C. King, niece of Dr. King, endorsed President-elect Trump in August. At the time, she told FOX Business the following:

I listened very carefully to everything Mr. Trump has said in the last 72 hours or so and I fully agree with so many of the things that he’s saying. He has taken a page from the book of my daddy, A. D. King, and my uncle Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. looking at the climate, people and really being concerned about what’s happening in every community across America.

King told the American Thinker that she’s been praying for Mr. Trump and his adversaries to unite and work together.

I pray that all polar opposites learn to Agape Love, live and work together as brothers and sisters — or perish as fools,” said King.

While I voted for Mr. Trump, my confidence remains in God, for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Prayers for President-elect Trump, Congressman Lewis, and everyone including leaders.

According to the Associated Press, officials estimate that 800,000 to 900,000 people are expected in the nation’s capital for Donald Trump’s inauguration, and a major demonstration is scheduled for the day after.

City planners say that they are betting the Trump inauguration is similar to President Barack Obama’s second inauguration in 2013, which drew more than 800,000, rather than Obama’s first in 2009, which drew 1.8 million people. ##

Buffett On President-Elect Donald Trump: “He Deserves Everybody’s Respect”

November 15th, 2016 Comments off

Even though he supported Hillary Clinton in this years’ presidential election, Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett says that the nation needs to unite.

I support any president of the United States. It’s very important that the American people coalesce behind the president,” Buffett told CNN’s Poppy Harlow in an interview on November 11th.

That doesn’t mean they can’t criticize him or they can’t disagree with what he’s doing maybe. But we need a country unified. He deserves everybody’s respect.

Buffett says that his choice to support Clinton was largely due to her temperament, and that he has not spoken with her since the election. He also shared that he understands that Americans upset about the lack of growth of the economy helped to get Trump elected.

Buffett also said that he would be willing to help the president-elect should he ask.

I would do that with any president. I’ve never called a president in my life. So I don’t initiate ‘em,” he said.

But if any president asks me for help in any way, I mean, that’s part of being a citizen.

Berkshire Hathaway stock has been on the rise since the election, with increase each day. For Buffett, he said that he was never concerned about stories predicting a stock market crash if Trump won, calling the fears “silly.”  For the most recent closing numbers, found on the Daily Business News’ manufactured housing industry connected stocks, please click here.

I don’t care whether you are a liberal, conservative, independent or something else – the bottom line with this year’s election was simply more of the same or something new, different or unique,” said Tim Connor, CSP.

Eddie Hicks, a long time MH industry veteran and consultant shared his take.

M/H owners are certainly one of the ‘hidden majority’ who may have felt somewhat disenfranchised in recent years,” said Hicks.

It’s the dawning of a new day. After the shock and elation or disappointment wash over us, and we all have taken a collective deep breath, we can begin looking to the future. And in that future I think it is safe to say that changes, well, they are a come’in,” said Texas Manufactured Housing Association executive director DJ Pendleton.

For any who might not yet be aware, in addition to President-Elect Trump heading to the White House, both the House and Senate will now be controlled by a Republican majority. All three branches of government are in Republican control. What will this mean? It simply means that there is little in the way of the Republican policy agenda.

As D-Day approaches, 70%-97% odds predicted for Senate in mid-term elections

November 4th, 2014 Comments off

uncle-sam-dreams-of-home-shutterstock-mhpronews-Decision Day 2014 has arrived, and the mid-term election results are predicted by the left-leaning New York Times to bring a 70% chance of a Republican take over of the U.S. Senate. CNN  puts those odds at 95%, the Washington Post at 97%. Early voting patterns and a wide range of polls are all factors being pointed to by experts and pundits that suggest Republicans could control of both houses of Congress once mid-term election results are tabulated.

As association affiliated-and-engaged manufactured home professionals know, manufactured housing is viewed as a truly bi-partisan issue. Affordable housing is a basic human necessity, and no one else provides that domestically quite like our industry does.

Still, on legislation such as S 1828, the Senate companion bill to HR 1779 which would change Dodd-Frank in ways more favorable to MH lending, a Republican sweep that mirrors what happened to the out-of-power party in prior mid-terms such as 2006, could bring forward movement for those bills in the lame duck session. More likely, such a legislative advance would occur once the new Congress is seated.

But close races in states from AL to NC – and billions of dollars in campaign spending – suggest it won’t be until tonight – or perhaps in the case of run-offs, until January 2015, that we will know where control of the U.S. Senate will rest. MHI’s election analysis in September predicted a 3-8 seat pick up in the Senate by Republicans.  Stay tuned. ##

campaign-finance-2-michael-francis-daily-business-news-mhpronews-2With the mid-term elections just a halfway point to the 2016 Presidential Election, the topic of donations to candidates once again has us in disbelief in the obvious padding of campaign war chests from Goliath donors.

Foster’s Daily Democrat  are among those telling MHProNews  that it’s no secret that poorly funded candidates tend to lose and well-funded candidates often win. $100 million dollars spent in a Senate race in North Carolina can buy a victory with an avalanche of TV, radio, internet and social media ads, glossy resumes and promises in your mailbox while volunteers knock at your door.

A CNN  investigation reported that since lobbyists can no longer give elected officials junkets to exotic lands, the candidates are inviting the lobbyists to lavish parties. Come for free, CNN reported, but the suggested donation to the Senator or Congressperson is $2500.

In the most expensive gubernatorial race this cycle, Florida heads the list, with an estimated $77 million spent to air over 137,000 ads. Florida is followed by Illinois, Pennsylvania, Texas and Michigan.

According to the reporting of OpenSecrets, an organization tracking political donations and spending, overall ad spending has broken $1 billion in federal elections and state governors’ races, with the total number of ads exceeding 2.2 million.

Top outside groups

According to OpenSecrets, Team Blue (Democrat) managed to force its way into the top echelon of big-spending outside groups – but Republican-leaning groups still occupy the majority of the slots at the top of the list of big spenders.

The outside group with the highest outlays this cycle is Senate Majority PAC, a super PAC closely affiliated with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.); it has spent $42.6 million. But Senate Majority falls to second on the list when super PAC American Crossroads and politically active nonprofit Crossroads GPS — the tandem of outside groups associated with Karl Rove — are considered together. These two – legally separate organizations, each of which have reported less spending than Senate Majority PAC — work closely; when their efforts are combined, their total spending comes to $46.8 million, giving them the title of top-spending outside organization this cycle. In 2010, this same pair was the top-spending organization, reporting a total of $38.2 million.

The remaining six members of the top 10 outside spending groups are conservative (including American Crossroads/Crossroads GPS). The Chamber of Commerce has disclosed spending $33.5 million this cycle and the National Rifle Association has spent $27.2 million, according to reports filed with the FEC.

Freedom Partners Action Fund, a super PAC that emerged from a network of dark money groups connected to the libertarian political financiers David and Charles Koch, received its first donation just four months ago, but rocketed to eighth on the list of top-spending outside groups, with $18.9 million. David and Charles Koch each gave $2 million to the group.

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, he number one donor of disclosed outside money is hedge fund manager Tom Steyer, followed by former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, who has given $20 million to super PACs, of which 98 percent went to liberal or Democratic recipients.

But despite those top two donors, conservative donors dominate the top 20 — 15 of them are conservative. The three other liberal donors are: Fred Eychaner ($7.9 million), George Soros ($3.5 million) and hedge-funder James Simons (and his wife Marilyn), who have given $3 million.

The top conservative donor to outside groups is Paul Singer, of hedge fund Elliott Management, who has given $9.3 campaign-finance-2-michael-francis-daily-business-news-mhpronews-million. Last cycle’s top donor — both to outside groups and overall — was Sheldon Adelson, owner of the Venetian casino in Las Vegas, who with his physician wife Miriam gave $92 million. This cycle, the Adelsons have given $5 million.

Other prominent conservative donors include Linda and Vince McMahon, who have given $2.6 million, and Robert McNair, the owner of the Houston Texans football team who together have given $3 million.

Topping the list of organizations contributing money to outside groups is the National Education Association, which has given a whopping $22.4 million to outside groups. Following the NEA are a slew of other labor unions — the Carpenters & Joiners Union ($11.2 million), the AFL-CIO ($7.6 million) and AFSCME ($6 million). These unions gave almost exclusively to liberal outside groups.

Whether we break it down by Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal, a SuperPAC, a labor organization, a Special Interest Group, or just a person with a net worth more than some countries, they all want the same thing. Unfettered access to elected officials at the highest levels: The Senate, The House of Representatives, and most of all, the White House.

You decide if that donation can sway a decision on a crucial piece legislation that hurts the American public but helps those with the keys to the vault. ##
