There is no question that Dinesh D’Souza is a partisan.
There is also no doubt that D’Souza was pardoned for his minor offense during the Obama Administration by the new occupant of the White House.
The question that those on both sides of the left-right partisan divide should ask themselves is this.
Is D’Souza’s movie premise correct?
Or are his points mere theatrics?
Having gone to the theater, as well as purchased prior D’Souza videos, we can only speak to his prior work with first hand authority.
His prior movie hits were:
- thought provoking,
- entertaining, and
- fact-based, meaning, historically grounded.
- One ranked as the number 2 political docudrama of all time.
“D’Souza’s films, 2016: Obama’s America and America: Imagine A World Without Her, are respectively the #2 and #6 highest political documentaries of all time. D’Souza’s latest feature-length film, Hillary’s America, is widely credited with contributing to Hillary Clinton’s defeat in 2016, and quickly joined his first two films in the top 10 political documentaries of all time,” says his website.
Meaning, there’s broad appeal to his movies, because they are well done. Watch the video of his movie’s “trailer,” and you’ll get the feel for him.
Some believe that Americans should ignore what divides the nation or our industry. There is an argument to be made for that viewpoint.
But others believe that a house divided can’t long stand. Abraham Lincoln took that view, and risked a civil war to unite a divided nation.
That should suggest that on a range of issues, Americans and industry professionals ought to seek to engage in civilized discourse. Why wait until open violence breaks out?
“Come let us reason together.” Reads a plaque behind the desk of former Arkansas Governor and modular mansion resident, Mike Huckabee. It’s a quote from the Good Book.
Our industry has a case to be made. It sounds counter-intuitive to most marketers. But the case that must be offered to the public needs more than looks and emotion. It must have evidence-based reason. The research shows that’s true. That’s our consulting operation’s experience as well.
Tony has said time and again, that if pretty pictures, slick videos or even 3D tech was all that was needed to grow the industry, then manufactured housing would already be selling 500,000 to 1,000,000 (+/-) new HUD Code manufactured homes per year.
Modular home sales would be on top of that total.
Evidence and logic – with appeal that is well presented – are what millions of home seekers need to buy into the manufactured housing industry’s rebirth.
The same is needed to avoid the death of our nation’s Republic.
As we approach July 4th, our country’s glorious Independence Day, let’s recall that Freedom is never free.
