Senator Jon Tester sounds off on Debt Battle

Senator Tester Chairing Economic Policy Subcommittee Hearing on StartupsIn a statement to MHMSM.com, U.S. Senator Jon Tester (R-MT) made the following statement.  “In recent days we’ve all seen the arguments and disagreements back in Washington play out in the headlines. It’s easy to get caught up in the back-and-forth without focusing on the nuts and bolts that matter at the end of the day. I think the answer is pretty simple — we need to cut the debt and give Montana businesses the certainty they need to invest in Montana and create jobs. While this debate plays out, I won’t let rancor drown out good work to create jobs and grow our economy in Montana.”  Tester also released a video on a hearing held on competitive contract bidding. He called this “proven job creators” for start-ups, vowing “they deserve a fair shake when competing against big business ” He went on to say, “Rhetoric never created a job. That’s why I’ll continue to cut through the divisiveness and bring people together to grow our economy and get folks back to work.” Tester is chairing the Senate Economic Policy Subcommittee on Start-ups.
