Residents Evacuate Modular Community

KamloopsNews reports Leonard Estates Trailer Park residents in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada have evacuated their homes due to a raw sewage leak seeping from the ground along a row of a dozen modular homes in the community. Located on aTk’emlup First Nation Indian reserve, Health Canada (HC) found several spots where it appeared the waste mixed with ground water. HC does not believe drinking water has been polluted, but had advised residents prior to the evacuation notice not to drink it. The notice to evacuate was posted on residents’ doors suggesting they seek temporary living accommodations elsewhere until the problem is solved. MHProNews has learned Kamloops is located in central British Columbia north of Washington state.
