Park Girl Parked in Jail

WKRV-TV in Rio Grande Valley, Texas, says Jo Leigh Ares has re-surfaced a month after four charges of felony theft were filed against her for allegedly taking deposit money from customers for manufactured homes that were not delivered. The owner of Park Girl Mobile Homes in La Feria turned herself in to police outside San Antonio. Entering the Cameron County courtroom of Judge Adam Gonzales, she remarked she had not read the affidavits against her. Judge Gonzales said: “I was surprised that she turned herself in voluntarily into Medina County…….. Other than that, she has been here several times, so I mean, her face is not new to the court.” Similar allegations in the past have not led to a conviction. The judge ordered her held on $1.2 million bond, $300,000 for each of the charges.
