Organization will Fund Repair of Manufactured Homes

Although the tornadoes that hit the Platteville, Wisconsin area June 16, 2014 were not damaging enough to prompt a federal disaster declaration, which would bring in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the damage from those tornadoes, the June 29 tornado and damaging winds June 29-30 are sufficient to qualify for assistance from the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Despite its middle name, the agency’s funding more often goes to homeowners than businesses, to repair or replace real estate, personal property, machinery and equipment. As swnews4u.com informs MHProNews, there are numerous local, state, nonprofit and federal entities that provide assistance to those damaged by the storms, including Tomorrow’s Home Foundation, which offers emergency grants to repair manufactured homes. In addition, several fundraisers are being held for the Platteville Tornado Relief Fund. ##
