One-time MH Plant Now Making Shelters

A former Clayton Homes plant in Hartselle, Alabama has been purchased by Mitchell Investment Properties, LLC and will be leased to Aqua Marine Enterprises, Inc., manufacturer of individual and community storm shelters. Located in northwest Alabama where the 2011 tornadoes created such havoc, the shelters have been in great demand. According to hartselleenquirer.com, the new jobs may add $500,000 payroll into the local economy. MHProNews understands the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) pays the tab on a number of the community shelters. The company is working on its second hundred structures for the year. Clayton left the building three years ago. ##
