New Manufactured Home Community Approved

manufactured home installers rebelhome.netThe Midland Planning and Zoning Commission in Midland, Texas approved plans for a new manufactured home community (MHC) featuring a central park, a hiking and biking trail and up to 320 homes. One resident complained that two of the nearby roads had not been repaired in 35 years and that several roads are crumbling under regular use, and further damaged by oilfield traffic.

Two residents also said that during certain times of the year the roads flood, adding to traffic troubles, as mrt tells MHProNews. Commissioner Josh Sparks stated that rapid growth in the city has led to multiple problems with roads, but it is the city’s responsibility to take care of infrastructure work, not the commission’s. The commission approved the manufactured home community proposal unanimously.

In an era when the press is more often reporting MHCs closing to make way for upscale development, it is unusual to read of new MHCs being developed. ##
