New Factory Home Builder Closer to Production

mod homes jersey city hudson reporter e. assata wright creditFollowing a story MHProNews last posted Aug. 18, 2014 regarding the conversion of an 83,000 square foot warehouse into a modular home manufacturing plant, the company, Renewable Jersey, LLC intends to hire 120 workers as part of the first phase, and received approval from the state’ finance board.

Economic Development Director Kevin Rabago said, “The approval clears the way for Titusville-based Renewable Jersey, LLC to move ahead with the long-planned adaptive reuse that will see the warehouse converted to accommodate the state’s first modular home manufacturing operation.”

The effort to sell the debt-ridden port of Bridgeport began over two years ago, and while there remains a $700,000 debt the city and the port authority need to resolve, the focus is on Renewable Jersey to get the modular facility up and running. Renewable is allegedly Bibeau & Rukenstein—nj.com says they have not seen that published – a firm that specializes in low-income, government-financed housing projects. ##
