Modular Living for Seniors in Canada

evergeticcity reports the grand opening of Heritage Manor III in Fort St. John in northern British Columbia, Canada, an eight unit senior’s modular housing development valued at $1.8 million. The project is part of the Senior’s Rental Housing Initiative to develop 1,300 affordable housing units across the province with help from Canada’s Economic Action Plan-Seniors. The modular homes at Heritage Manor feature wider doorways and large rooms to allow for wheelchair maneuvering, shelves and light switches at accessible levels, and grab bars and step-in showers in the bathrooms. MHProNews has learned the next step in affordable housing in Fort St. John will be converting a retirement home into senior apartments.
