Modular Homes will House Gazans

Gaza_modular_homes__afp_dot_com__creditAn association from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is supplying 50 Palestinian families in the southern Gaza town of Khan Yunis with modular homes to replace those destroyed in the fighting between Hamas and Israel. Imad al-Haddad, the head of the association, said each home has two bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchen and can accommodate six people, according to therakyatpost.com. Each unit costs $7,000, about 5,400 Euros, and he expects the association will bring in 50 more modular homes before winter sets in. According to the United Nations (UN), 65,000 people in Gaza continue to find shelter in UN schools. Although no source was given, MHProNews understands Red Sea Housing Services, headquartered in Jubail, Saudi Arabia is a major supplier of modular housing and other commercial modular buildings in the Middle East. ##
