One of the biggest obstacles to housing growth, according to the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University, is that millennials are continuing to live with their parents in record numbers, according to housingwire.com. Approximately 2.1 million more adults in their 20s and 300,000 more in their 30’s lived with their parents in 2013 than the equivalent levels in 2007. Despite more millennials finding work, student debt and incomes not keeping pace with housing costs have hindered the move to new housing formation, leading some analysts to believe this generation, born between 1981 and 2000, will more likely move into rentals before purchasing homes, as MHProNews has learned. ##
