Military Modular Homes now Accommodate Apache Native Americans

More than 100 modular homes previously used by the U. S. military are now home to residents of the Apache Mescalero Reservation in New Mexico, where the lack of adequate housing has been a long-standing issue, according to ruidosonews.com. On March 7, at the invitation of tribal president Danny Brueninger, representatives of Fort Bliss Army Base and Holloman Air Force Base Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) and the General Service Administration will tour the reservation to see how the homes are improving the quality of life for the residents, some of whom had never lived in a home as nice. MHProNews.com has learned the modular units had accommodated enlisted men from the DRMO. ##
