The Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) recent legislative fly-in reportedly had the lowest turn-out in years; perhaps ever, according to sources who said they were in attendance.

The event was touted by MHI as focusing on two main issues.

One source speculated that Vice Presidents Lois Starkey and Tom Heinemann alleged “terminations” may have depressed attendance.  But another source pointed out that most plan for such an event several weeks in advance, so the Starkey/Heinemann news likely had only modest impact.

A long-time member said, “Who wants to here Lesli Gooch lecture, posture and brag to attendees?” Reportedly, fewer than 30 came. MHI logo and graphic provided under fair use guidelines.

MHI’s own report of the event conspicuously provided no tally of attendance. That report, is linked as a download, linked here. ## (News, analysis)
