MHC Wins National Award

June 13th, 2012 Matthew Silver

The State Journal-Register in Springfield, Illinois says Timber Creek Living MHC in Springfield won the Community of the Year Award for the Midwest at the 2012 Manufactured Housing Institute’s (MHI) National Congress and Expo for Manufactured and Modular Housing. The 55-and-older community is comprised of 200 residents living in 125 homes ranging from 1,350 to 1,725 square feet, with prices from $90,000 up to $160,000. The community includes three ponds, gazebos, a community room and exercise facility, and outside shuffleboard courts. Timber Creek homeowner Mary Miller, noting the owners treat the residents like family, says, “It’s a nice quiet area and there’s always something to do.” MHProNews.com has learned developer Doug Daniels is planning to expand the community.
