Residents at Blackhawk Estates manufactured home community (MHC) in an unincorporated area near Des Plaines, Illinois protested Monday after their property managers allegedly enforced what the residents are calling “the fine print” in their leases by walking through the community and taking belongings from residents’ yards, including childrens’ toys, yard tools and tables. A notice had been posted near a guard’s office that inspections were to be conducted, according to dailyherald.com, and fines of $50 to $300 were allegedly levied against residents. Zeman Homes later said they would void the fines. MHProNews has learned a call to Zeman management did not produce a comment. ##
