According to official statistics released by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), production of HUD Code manufactured homes hit 5,798 in May, 2015, a modest increase of 1.1 percent over the 5,733 homes built in May of 2014. However, industry production on the year is 8.8 percent above the numbers for 2014, 27,257 this year over the 25,051 for the first five months of 2014.
As the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) informs MHProNews, the top ten list of states in terms of shipments has remained the same, with Texas far and away leading the pack. Louisiana is in the second spot followed by Florida, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, California, Tennessee and Oklahoma. ##
