Manufactured Housing Issues Remain from Hurricane Sandy

hurricane_sandy_aftermath__cnn_news_creditThree-and-a-half years after Hurricane Sandy ripped up the east coast of the U. S. in Oct. 2012, leaving 7.9 million businesses and households without power, causing 147 deaths in the U. S., Canada and the Caribbean, families are still facing obstacles in resolving housing issues.

An information session will be held May 11 at Metropolitan Mobile Home Park in Moonachie, New Jersey, specifically geared towards residents of manufactured homes as MHProNews has been told by nj. One-on-one assistance will be available for homeowners participating in the Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Elevation and Mitigation Program as well as in the LMI Homeowners Rebuilding Program.

We encourage MHU homeowners in either housing recovery program to attend and take full advantage of all the Information Session has to offer,” Department of Community Affairs Commissioner Charles A. Richman said.

Additionally, representatives from the DCA Sandy Recovery Division and RREM program will be in attendance to answer questions. ##
