Liberty Homes Assumes Energy Efficiency Challenge

The Lehigh Valley Business news reports from Pennsylvania that Liberty Homes in Mount Pocono, Penn. is partnering with the U. S. Dept. of Energy (DOE) in their Total Home Performance Challenge to certify their homes have a high energy efficiency rating to maximize energy savings for their manufactured and modular home customers. John Holahan, president of Liberty Homes, says, “Liberty Homes is excited to promote our affiliation with the Environmental Protection Agency and DOE programs on green building practices, indoor air quality, water savings, Energy Star performance and the benefit to the environment.” The DOE’s Builders Challenge program has noted hundreds of builders for their progress in energy efficiency building practices, resulting in more than 14,000 energy efficient homes. As MHProNews has learned, Liberty Homes, founded in 1978, has operations in eight different counties in Penn.
