Updating a story MHProNews covered Sept. 5, 2012 regarding the closing of two MHCs in State College, Penn., a graduate of Penn State University and fellow church congregant with residents of the communities is sponsoring a benefit to assist those displaced by the closings. Musician Pat Elliott has organized the fund-raiser with the help of fellow musicians to be held at Park Forest Village United Methodist Church, to help those from Hilltop Mobile Home Park and Penn State Mobile Home Park, according to statecollege.com. The benefit will include an auction of donated items and a bake sale with all proceeds going to the Displaced Persons Fund, created by Interfaith Human Services, Inc.
