FEMA Homes Coming to Joplin MO for Post-Tornado Housing

KOAMTV7 reports from Pittsburgh, Kansas, that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is now bringing in manufactured homes for those who continue to be displaced by the May 22 twister that devastated Joplin, Missouri.  8,000 homes were destroyed in the storm.  FEMA officials have been sending people to rental units, but they are filling up rapidly, so FEMA is now searching for vacant lots to site the homes.  While recipients know they can only stay for 18 months, they are grateful just to have a place to call home.  So far, 2000 people have received FEMA assistance.  Meanwhile, Missouri native Brad Pitt, and Angeline Joli have donated $500,000 to support rebuilding efforts in the Joplin area.
