Eminem, “8 Mile,” “Mobile Homes,” Frank Rolfe – Understanding Media and Public Perceptions of Manufactured Housing

EminemAndersonCooper60MinutesCBS8MileMobileHomesDailyBusinessNewsMHProNewsTo solve a problem, you must first be willing to accept the problem by acknowledging that the problem exists,” stated Jacquie Hooker on Quizlet.

Many who aren’t exposed to “critical thinking” need an explanation that Hooker isn’t talking about criticizing someone or something.

Rather, critical thinking is logical thinking – the use of detached, unemotional reason.

Once you have accepted the problem, the first step in solving the problem begins with determining the importance of the problem,“ said Hooker.

Frank Rolfe, and “The Problem”

Rolfe has told MHProNews that he learned debating in school.

Successful debating requires analysis, or the kind of “critical” or logical thinking that Hooker was providing insights about.

If Rolfe is correct, the mainstream media – and most of America – have little or no clue about the realities about modern manufactured homes.

Rolfe says that he’s asked reporters, and they’ve told him, that their vision of manufactured homes is based upon “Eight Mile,” the movie staring Eminem.  Note that in the clip below, the homes behind Eminem in certain spots look to be mobile homes, meaning, pre-HUD Code homes that are not manufactured homes.

With those thoughts in mind, the Daily Business News as part of its State of the Manufactured Housing Industry in November 2017 presents this 60 Minutes segment with Marshall Mather, better known as the rapper Eminem.

Hooker isn’t the only person who says that to solve a problem one must first admit it exists. The positive thinker, Zig Ziglar is one of many who has said similarly.

The first step in solving a problem is to recognize that it does exist.” – Zig Ziglar.

In consulting and publishing, MHProNews also believes that when a problem is identified, possible or proven solutions need to be proposed. While some dispute the source of the quote, GoodReads gives credit to a prior American president and rough rider.

Complaining about a problem without proposing a solution is called whining.” – Teddy Roosevelt.
