Dow, S&P Set New Highs; Deer Valley and Louisiana Pacific Advance

Better-than-expected corporate earnings and momentum from last week’s positive jobs report propelled U.S. stocks today, pushing the Dow and the S&P 500 to record highs in hump-day trading. CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained +0.32 percent, +48.92 points, to end the day at 15,105.12. The Nasdaq gained +0.49 percent, +16.64 points, to finish at 3,413.27, while the S&P gained +0.41 percent, +6.73 points, to close at 1632.69. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite remained unchanged at 1700.1 for the second consecutive day. Most of the stocks we track closed up, or even, with Deer Valley gaining the most, moving up +7.48%, +0.06, to close at 0.79. Skyline Corp. fell the most of stocks we track, -0.82%, -0.04 points, to end the trading session at 4.85. Affiliated Managers Group 156.74 +0.01 (+0.01%).
