Councilors to Discuss Infrastructure at New Hampshire Co-operative

roc_usa__creditThe infrastructure at the 30 home site Frost Residents Cooperative manufactured home community in Derry, New Hampshire is in need of repair, and the Derry City Council last year authorized an application for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to pay for an engineering study of the infrastructure.

According to what unionleader tells MHProNews, councilors will discuss setting a public hearing on the study. The study is to determine if it’s feasible to connect the co-op’s private water system to the town’s system, which recently added a water line to provide service to residents on Route 28 that could tie into a line coming from the Frost Co-op.

This will put the Frost residents on metered water. If the council approves the hearing, it will be held Oct. 20. The co-op is named for famed American poet Robert Frost, one-time Derry resident who won four Pulitzer Prizes, a Congressional Gold Medal, and served as the nation’s Poet Laureate. ##
