Charity Benefits from Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting

With keepsakes that mark the date and theme of this year’s Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting May 3, Business Wire will once again be selling commemorative baseball themed pennants to raise money for abused and neglected children for a Douglas County (Omaha), Nebraska charity. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) provides trained volunteers to work with children through the court system, according to marketwatch.com. A Berkshire Hathaway company, Business Wire annually contributes $5,000 to CASA plus picking up the tab for the promotional items, as MHProNews.com has learned. “In the spirit of this year’s baseball theme we will take our metaphorical seventh-inning stretch by contributing to charity,” said Cathy Baron Tamarz, chairwoman and chief executive officer of Business Wire. ##
