Cavco Develops Prototype of Students’ Cabin Design

Students at California State PolyTechnique University in Pomona, California have designed a new cabin that Cavco Industries, Inc (CVCO) is building a prototype of, and will transport it to the California State Fair in Sacramento through July 27 for display. The Wedge has red cedar siding, a full bed and two bunk beds and seating inside and a composite porch, according to rvdailyreport.com. Students developed ten distinctively different modular structures before The Wedge was chosen for Cavco. MHProNews has learned the Department of Parks and Recreation intends to acquire one of the cabins as it tries to re-ignite interest in camping. Cavco is one of the leading producers of manufactured and modular housing  and other factory-made dwellings in North America. ##
