“Cannot survive if…weak” Golden Sh-thole – Lighter Side, Plus Tough Talk Respected

This post blends several topics – one of them mildly humorous to the left – into one.

The immigration debate – which is important to manufactured housing producers, communities, retailers and the nation – took a back seat after a leak alleged that the President Donald J. Trump in a private meeting used the words “sh-thole” to describe certain third-world countries.

Some assert the comment was made; the White House denies it.  Either way, that dominated the airwaves, internet and television for days, with fresh cries of “racism” aimed at the 45th president; who prior to running was praised by black leaders like the Rev. Jessie Jackson, a Democratic supporter.

Interestingly, not one but two black African national leaders have since praised President Trump for straight talk, and honest policies.

I wanted to thank you for the support we have received from you, personal, and your administration.  And we’re looking forward to also working with the United States at the level of the African Union, where we are tightening out reforms of the African Union, so that we get our act together to do the right things,” said Rwandan President Paul Kagame to POTUS Trump during a bilateral meeting at the world economic forum in Davos Switzerland Friday, per the Daily Caller.

America has got one of the best presidents ever,” Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said Tuesday. “I don’t know whether he was misquoted or whatever. But he talks to Africans frankly.”

Yoweri reportedly added, “In the world, you cannot survive if you are weak.”

Whatever one thinks about the president, to be fair, media analysis demonstrates that taken the most negative press ever dished out in modern times, and has not caved into it.  Weak?  Hardly. So President Museveni has a point.

The Guggenheim’s “Gift”…

Meanwhile, perhaps related was a domestic slam of the new occupants of the 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington, D.C. The Guggenheim Museum in NYC had a White House request for the loan of a painting, that Stuart Varney describes the video show.  The Washington Post reported having a copy of an email, that claimed that curator Nancy Spector, offered artist Maurizio Cattelan’s fully-functioning 18-karat gold toilet called America, which the museum just took off display.

“[The artist] would like to offer it to the White House for a long-term loan,” wrote Spector, a critic of President Trump.

So, many in Davos, Switzerland seem to be impressed with President Trump.  At least a some African leaders have shown him respect.

Yet there are those in the U.S. which seem determined to ignore the blinding reality of good economic news that the president’s policies are bringing to working class Americans, businesses and investors. Those policies are benefiting, per federal data,  includes minorities, and women, who are seeing the best job numbers in years.

Right-of-center Fox Business Network’s immigrant Stuart Varney’s fast take the on golden toilet outrage, something unimaginable to most prior presidents, is posted above. Potties and modern politics, Washington style?

The factory-built home industry can thank the president for putting the breaks on the CFPB too, and ordering program reviews there too.

It may take time for some, but in time, the reality that this is the most pro-business president in at least a generation could sink in. “We Provide, You Decide.” © ## (News, analysis, and commentary.)
