ATCO Wins Top Honors

March 26th, 2013

MHProNews has learned from PRWeb that modular builder ATCO Structures & Logistics was honored several times at the Modular Building Institute (MBI)’s 2013 Awards of Distinction. First place in the permanent modular commercial housing category was for MEG Energy Pirate’s Cove Lodge near Christina Lake that is as much resort as workforce housing. With its full basketball court gymnasium, world-class kitchen and theatre, the 150-bed lodge also has a skywalk system to protect workers from extreme weather conditions here, about 400 miles north of Montana in remote Conklin, Alberta, Canada. It also received most overall votes. In the material reuse category, ATCO received best of show honors for an office building in Santiago, Chile, and honorable mention for an office in Calgary that uses recycled tire carpet tiles and 50 percent recycled materials for the plank floor. The modular building site services company got another honorable mention for a 3D animated film about workforce housing. With $14 billion in assets, ATCO has operations on five continents.
