Army Green—not just Combat Fatigues

As PRWeb informs MHProNews, Ramtech Building Systems of Mansfield, TX is in the final stages of completing the 272-room modular housing complex for Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. Now 70 percent complete and on track for completion in Nov. 2013, the$9.7 million barracks will feature waterless urinals, a 50 percent reduction in waste and 20 percent recycled construction material usage. Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) is supplied to each dorm room via a chilled water assist hydronic heat pump system. In addition to qualifying for LEED Silver Certification, the 152 modular sections are for housing the Army’s Anti-Terrorism Force Protection combat troops and thus meet more rigid construction standards than a comparable civilian building.
