The PATH home produces more energy than it needs. Jetson Green  tells MHProNews  that these PATH houses were created by French designer and architect Philippe Starck in collaboration with Slovenian prefabricated housing specialist Riko. The two are selling these homes in a strategic alliance under the name “Starck with Riko.”

A prototype of the home was recently unveiled in Montfort l’Amaury near, Paris, France. This home produces up to 50% more energy than needed. It’s supplied with an IRFTS Easy Roof solar array, which is a system of 36 DualSun panels and 22 standard photovoltaic panels. Jetson  states that this system is capable of generating electricity, as well as heat water.

The solar power array may generate 11.8 MWh of electricity per year and provides an estimated 70 percent of all hot water needed by the household.

There are 34 different PATH floor plans. These range in sizes from 1,506 square feet (40 square meters) to 3,767 square feet (350 square meters). A P.A.T.H. home ranges in price from $3,166 – $5,700 per square meter – there are 10.7639 square feet per square meter – and can be delivered and assembled worldwide within six months.

Roof mounted wind turbine, designed by Starck himself, is another optional feature for those upper end buyers seeking energy efficiency, luxury and comparative affordability. ##
