William ‘Bill’ Steenberg, Award winning Steenberg Homes founder, Passage

Myers Beach, Florida, after a short, courageous battle with cancer. His fiance Wendy was by his side when he passed away. Bill’s children, Julie, Shelly, and Jeffrey and his granddaughter, Miranda, visited a couple weeks earlier in Florida. 

Bill founded and owned Steenberg Homes, started in 1952. Steenberg Homes grew to 13 locations throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. Steenberg was a recipient of the “Elmer Fry” award from Wisconsin Housing Alliance. He was also a founding member of the Oakridge Conservation Club in Brandon, WI.

Legacy   tells MHProNews  that Bill owned a large amount of farmland throughout the area and enjoyed crop sharing with many local farmers. Bill loved to hunt, which included deer, bear, elk, and moose throughout the US and Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Sally Steenberg.
