Former Modular Home Plant now Makes Pallets

pallet house fair companies creditThe facility that was headquarters for modular home builder Pittsville Homes for 40 years in Pittsville, Wisconsin has been sold to Hay Creek Pallet Co., which was renting part of the building as the modular home business declined and the owner, Jim Hoogesteger, decided to retire, according to wisconsinrapidstribune.com. In the past, one of the largest employers in the city with 50-60 employees making eight houses at a time, Pittsville Homes closed June 30, 2014, as the work force dwindled to 20 employees and Hoogesteer decided to spend more time with his grandchildren. Several of the remaining 20 workers have signed on with Hay Creek, as MHProNews has learned. ##
