Pennsylvania AG Sues Wyoming Homes Owner Valenti

Following a story MHProNews last posted June 16, 2014, the Pennsylvania attorney-general’s office is suing David Valenti, president of Wyoming Homes for alleged violations of the consumer protection laws and is seeking to permanently close the business. Twenty complaints were lodged against the business from Aug. 2011 to Dec. 2013 for shoddy workmanship, failure to complete installation of manufactured and modular homes, and not completing delivery of homes after receiving full payment. He faces theft by deception charges in two counties, according to timesleader.com, and the suit alleges false advertising and failure to honor contracts

The AG’s office is seeking a $1,000 penalty for each violation of the law, which increases to $3,000 for each violation involving customers 60 and older, MHProNews has learned. In addition, the suit seeks restitution to customers, payment for enforcement costs and additional relief deemed appropriate by the court. ##
