Drew’s Sales, Profits Rise in Q1

Drew Industries, Inc. (DW) reports net sales in the first quarter of 2014 at $285 million, a 13 percent increase over the same period 2013, due to a 16 percent sales increase in the company’s recreational vehicle (RV) division. Net income nearly doubled from $8.4 million in the first quarter of 2013 to $16.2 million for the quarter ending March 31, 2014. Additionally, as marketwatch.com informs MHProNews.com, April 2014 net sales hit $113 million, 13 percent higher than April 2013. “Our operating profit margins in the first quarter of 2014 were 9.1 percent compared to 5.4 percent in the first quarter of 2013,” said Scott Mereness, Drew’s President. With headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana, Drew is a component supplier to the manufactured housing and recreational vehicle industries.##
