City Seeks Siting Ordinance for Factory-built Homes

At the April 22 meeting of the mayor and city council of Bastrop, Louisiana, council members discussed restrictions regarding the placement of manufactured and modular homes in the city, according to bastropenterprise.com. After agreeing that existing factory-built homes could be grandfathered in, City Attorney Doug Lawrence advised members of the need for working definitions of manufactured and modular homes, as well as recreational vehicles. As MHProNews.com understands, Lawrence was instructed to develop an ordinance for consideration at a future meeting. ##
