50 FEMA Homes to be Ready by Christmas

AsburyParkPress says 50 Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) homes are being prepared to move into existing communities in New Jersey to house displaced victims of Hurricane Sandy along the Jersey shore. FEMA has identified 865 vacant community sites statewide, including 122 in Monmouth County and 129 in Ocean County, two areas heavily devastated by Sandy. Ten of the two-bedroom units are handicap accessible, and all are fully equipped with appliances and furnishings. As MHProNews has learned, while no leases with the communities have been signed yet, it is expected residents will celebrate Christmas in the one and two-bedroom manufactured homes.
